I get Georges point that as her 'Husband' he should be allowed to sleep in her room but at the same time he's not really and he's never met the man before. I think it's just a family/cultural thing that you just have to respect. My Husband and I weren't allowed to sleep in the same room at his Grandmother's house until we were married which was funny because we had been together just under 7 years before we got married but his cousin got married after 6 months of knowing her Husband and they were allowed to share a room before us.
