Just my opinion but I think he's neurodivergent. He clearly has difficulty connecting and making sense of his emotions and how they make him physically feel. I think he might also have a processing disorder, hence the apparent delay in some of his reactions. He has demonstrated extremely fixed/rigid thinking and I think he masks the majority of the time because he quite literally doesn't have a clue how to behave in a way that 'fits in'. He can't read people or situations.

I'm finding it extremely uncomfortable to watch and it's taking the fun out of it for me a bit. She shouldn't be there this year and he needed a better match and far, far more pastoral support than he currently appears to be being provided. The experience could be extremely damaging to both of them.

I'm iffy as hell with him, if he is on the spectrum he is very very heavily on it and I can't believe it wasn't picked up on. Coming from a neurospicy family Collins is not a flavour we've had :D
We've seen moments when the mask slipped, when he talked to Nat off camera, when he was doing his to camera bit after Nat wanted to leave and during that weirdness with John you could see it slip. I think he's honestly just a narc who wants to be famous, and is more concerned with his 15 mins of fame.

We don't have anyone like him in my family either to be honest but I even feel the way he was with John was part of his rigid thinking. He couldn't move past John needing to give him advice because he was the expert and he very stubbornly kept pushing his point about her grief (although I actually think he had a valid point about that).

Who knows though, maybe the conclusion I've come to is wrong. Either way I don't feel like they are making the good TV the producers might want. If he is an actor and this is part of some plan to make it, then he really needs a career rethink!
 
Poor Natalie, I don’t think they should allow people into reality tv shows like this so soon after a bereavement but to then set her up with someone as weird as Collins is just 🤯 I honestly wish they’d just give her a new partner. He’s just utterly bizarre, I don’t want to be ableist as I do think he is neurodivergent but I just don’t think he’s suitable for a show like this and he makes for uncomfortable watching. His reactions to everything is just off.

Tin man Tim ate humble pie there but tbh he was right, he knew something isn’t right about Jack (as we all do, he doesn’t hide it well) and Dickie should’ve kept his mouth shut. Genuinely think he just doesn’t fancy Lucinda. He knows he needs someone like her to push him but isn’t willing to compromise as he isn’t attracted to her.

I am living for Lauren’s little comments about everyone, she’s absolutely hilarious. I don’t think she’s mean though, she only calls people out when they deserve it. Genuinely can’t remember her husbands name but he’s too tame and boring for her.

Are laminated brows still a thing in Australia? Both Eden and Sara have them and they look bloody awful.
 
I really don’t think Nat should be on the show, sure it would have been disappointing to have to recast 2 months beforehand but anyone who has been through the loss of someone close will know that 2 months is NOTHING in the time it takes to even start to come to terms with it.
It’s really unfortunate she’s partnered with Collins but even if it had been someone amazing, I’d still think it was a bad idea.

No major spoilers, only really mentions how successful the match of Natalie and Collins went. Other than that he talks a lot about how he came across, poked fun at himself, talked about how he was approached 3 years in a row for MAFS, how Natalie had 3-4 days out of each week where her family would be flown into town as she was so ‘homesick’. He also said his ‘dick is too small for OnlyFans’ which is an image I did not need 🥴
