How is it zero? He absolutely can have his own bio kids through surrogacy. Say him and Ella work out and want kids. He could use his sperm and use a female egg donor, then use a surrogate. Then another round further down the line using Ella's sperm if she froze some before her transition and again, use a female egg donor. That way they both have a bio child at one point.

Nathanial could still use his sperm. Just wouldn’t be biological to Ella if they were to get to that stage. Trans men/women can reverse some things with hormones to be able to produce sperm/eggs for this too - I know of a tiktok couple who have done this where the man was born female and they took hormones to make this happen so the child could be biological his but carried by his girlfriend, not sure how successful it was as been a while since I checked on it
