Honestly, after I’d calmed down a bit my gut reaction was not to watch, so I did a mini flounce out. But then I had a chat with a couple of like minded people and realised it’s MAFS. I’m not OK with men pushing women out of their safe spaces, so I’ll be damned if I’m going to let a man push me out of MAFS.
 
Referring again to There’s Something About Miriam.

Ella’s groom should have a choice if he is matched with a trans woman or not. I hope this teaser knowingly leaked to the press isn’t as horrid as it sounds.

Let’s also hope the show isn’t dominated by Ella and her journey / agenda. The show is about much more than that. I also watch it for the ludicrousness of the matches, the Schadenfreude from the inevitable clashes, the joy of watching narcissists look daft.

Looks like they are trying to spin it now as the groom knew before and him finding out was staged, either way it isn't good. Everyone knows it is staged to a point/ things re-filmed that the crew missed out on but there still needs to be the main underlying point is forming a relationship.

It won't be IMO. It's to get people watching. I think after the initial 'surprise' the groom will be fine about it. I don't think even MAFS would be that stupid as to trick someone who had no interest in trans people.
 
I reckon it’s Nathanial they’ll pair Ella with? Can’t see any of the other guys being paired with her. Let’s just sit back and enjoy the tit show last years was probably my favourite but let’s see how this one compares

So channel 4 are now saying the producers told the groom in advance his match was trans and he chose to go through with it

be interesting to see how that plays out on screen and if he pretends to be shocked when Ella tells him on the wedding day

Nah I get the impression they’re an attention seeker so are probably loving the publicity even if it is negative.
