I rarely have moments when I massively react to things I see on TV but I actually shouted 'what the duck?' when the killing happened. I wasn't ready for it in the slightest.

It's a little bit Twin Peaks and a lot True Detective for me. I've seen people compare this to Happy Valley but I haven't watched that one.

Ah, I get the HV similarities with the Sarah Lancashire and Kate Winslet charachters having similar personal lives and the small towns they live in. Didn’t think about that before.
