I think I might finish it off as my show to fall asleep to tonight. It’s a yawn fest that’s for sure. The only decent actor is the woman from Wentworth playing her mum. Asher is just playing Nina in a less frazzled, slightly corporate vibe
this may be controversial but I think Asher just plays herself in every role she plays - they are ALWAYS ALL the same vibe (Nina et al)
I dont' think she is that great an actress
Love her but these are my thoughts

The show def improves as you watch it but I’m just distracting trying to work out who is who in each senario eg the “editor” who leaves to go to the competitor (is that Monique Bowley?) and the intern she fired for plagerism who was going to write a book about it (Rosie Waterland?)

or Jamila? Or KDB? Or so so many others Mia has burned through (sorry ‘launched’) over the years

I was wondering who the feminists on the TV panel were supposed to be? I was thinking Clem for the one wearing leopard print, Yassmin Abdel-Magied for the younger author but I wasn’t sure who the older author would have been based on?
Also the bad interview with the plus sized celebrity reminded me of Mia’s shitshow interview with Roxane Gay where she made some truly horrible comments about her weight and her ability to walk/move.

Is the “Jit” character supposed to be Jamila? That’s the vibe I was getting. Too intellectual for the low brow content that gets clicks
Yea that’s what I thought. They have given her an environmental focus instead of the political one.
---
So I’ve seen 2 episodes and I found it ok not that interesting or groundbreaking. “Mia” correcting everyone who calls it a blog lol. Her character is very unlikable so they have got her down pat haha

I think it’s funny that they are portraying her as an unlikely success. It feels as though they are trying to convey that despite her inability to manage a business, she hit success because she was in the right place at the right time…

The character is sooooo unlikeable and unnecessarily abrasive/doesn’t listen to those closest to her which sounds exactly like Mia! I thought they were going to really sugarcoat her. If they did sugarcoat her personality and this is what they ended up with- yikes!

I stupidly read the comments on that ‘article’. Great to see mammamia’s circle jerks have always been there. Amy Schumer being jealous of someone who works at MM? bleeping lol.

I’m 15 minutes into Strife and it’s so boring 😴 does it get any better because I can’t watch anymore.

It took me 3 attempts to watch episode 1 and I have seen the first 2 episodes. God it’s boring and underwhelming and just slow. I couldn’t finish the book when I read it years ago. I like how the son character looks like Luca 🤣

If you've got Binge, may I suggest watching The Couple Next Door instead!?! Not boring, lead guy is HOT

Strife makes me want to cancel my subscription

What’s with the constant calls to the therapist. Not even interesting. Jessie & Clare wrote episode 4.
