It's obviously for publicity, she already has a blue tick on Instagram and I think she's doing this to extend her career.
 
Right so I’m massively catching up as my toddler is at nursery today, and i just noticed that Melinda and Layton’s apartment is so much nicer and bigger than others - how does that work ?? The others seem to be living in little more than a bedroom.

edited to add - and Harrison (🤢) and brontes too.

I haven't googled who stayed together long term but have googled final commitment ceremonies. As above, I have zero self control!

I am absolutely raging it's not on tonight. Evelyn's comment is absolutely not going to be worth 3 days of a build up. Unless she reveals Harrison as an actor and provides evidence! 😅 Or that Mel and Harrison hooked up during partner swap!

Agree - she’s got that shelf/‘tache on her top lip from migration. It looks awful, bet she looks better without the filler 🙁

It was weird how they assumed that. Layton isn’t thick I don’t think. It seemed to me that he thought it was a waste of time when they only have however many weeks together, why spend half of one with someone else? Plus he saw the task as obvious bullshit to create drama between them and B&H. He was right.

A few series back there was a lovely couple who were stressed about the distance and despite really liking each other didn’t make final vows cos it was just too far. He had a farm IIRC and she had a job that would only be found in a city. I thought that was a daft excuse so looked it up and it was equivalent to Dublin to Istanbul but then with loads of extra travel on top of the flight. 🤯 No one’s doing that every weekend.

The whole thing with Mel & Layton was weird, it was clearly just done to cause unnecessary drama. It was obviously bullshit too as they put Mel & Layton with Bronte & Harrison. I wonder if Layton called bullshit on it with the producers & it was cut. As you say Layton is no fool. Just a shame M & L played into Harrison grubby little hands and argued in front of him.

When it comes to distance (& Oz being ridiculously big) surely they could match people closer together or willing to move frigging miles away. I can't imagine being stuck off grid with Cam 😴

I think it was just set up for drama, defo the pairing and Mel made no sense. Mel to say that she hates Harrison to that degree and then suddenly want to hang out with him for three days to "challenge herself". Horseshit. Barely any of it shown either. Sus as hell.
