Madeleine McCann Netflix documentary

Just adding this point because I haven’t seen it mentioned- Regarding the picture of her in makeup and other videos it almost seems as if they are taking them to advertise her:cry: as i’ve seen mentioned on some forums, the tapas 7 all had well paid jobs (and it would have been hard to get time off) so why did they choose to go to a sleepy town somewhere in Portugal? Now for the creepy bit..the Mccan’s had connections to Clement Freud, a well known paedophile. He had a villa less than a mile from the apartment the Mccan’s stayed in and he invited them for drinks multiple times just days after Madeleine went missing..and on one of the visits she joked with him about being a nymphomaniac? Just days after her daughter was “abducted” she was sharing sexual jokes with a paedophile over a brandy. There were also many other convicted paedophiles living in villas in the area, I know some people are really against the paedophile ring theory, and it is just a theory. But I thought it might be worth mentioning for those who feel as though this theory has missing pieces.

They went there as it’s a Mark Warner resort and popular with middle class parents. People in high paid jobs can book leave. I completely agree with the rest of your comments though.

What is Kate thinking?!

Only on episode one but I’ve always thought
A. Regardless they should be done for child neglect, any council estate family would have had the rest of the kids taken off of them.
B. The parents know a lot more than they let on

  1. Kate said ‘they’ve took her’ when surely your first assumption would be she’d wandered out
  2. Both refused lie detector tests
  3. Didn’t the cadaver dogs pick up the scent on Madelines teddy? ( these are dogs that smell death)
  4. Didn’t Kate refuse to answer questions the next day where if your kid had genuinely been taken you’d be bending over backwards to answer questions that may help.

Will continue watching but doubt my opinions will change on this.
They wouldn't find me to question me, if I kid had of been taken, I would be tearing up the beaches and walking the entire island for a glimpse of my child . I know the police often say they would take over, but I'd have to be out there doing something.

So they`d easily hear someone sneak in and take their baby then? I have no words. :(
I have often said if myself and my husband went on holiday with friends and the friends wanted a meal out, then id either say the kids come too or send my husband on his own and I'd eat with the kids.

There was absolutely no kidnap. Ask the dogs. For those willing to listen they have proved what happened to that precious soul. The circumstances of how it happened of course are very valid discussion and it’s important to keep talking about her so that she will hopefully one day get justice.

ETA - Remember Gerald Maccan’s infamous smug “Ask the dogs, Sandra” 🤬

I always thought the police musnt have been very competent, I mean if a child's gone missing surely every single stone within a five mile radius should have been thoroughly searched asap. Like I said earlier if I lost a child I myself would literally be pulling up every flower, plant, emptying every bin and searching every nook and cranny for any signs she had been there.

God knows - guilt and panic? Just from watching the doc (so I’m massively guessing here) but I can’t help but feel he has a temper and is controlling and his wife looks like a mother carrying a horrific secret whilst trying to feign to continue to search for her daughter - anyone else or am I projecting?
To be honest if I was Kate and that was the situation, I honestly think I would have killed myself. I couldn't live knowing my child was dead and I may or my husband had something to do with it, especially if my husband was controlling it all.

So sad for that poor child, what ever happened to her (I don’t think she was abducted personally) she paid the ultimate price because of her parents neglect. And not once have I heard them come out and say “don’t make the same mistake we did” it’s always someone else’s fault in their eyes. They make me sick.

The documentary didn’t really tell me anything I didn’t already know and it was a while since I last watched but a bunch of info wasn’t included.

remember watching this and thought how insane it was that they left their young children alone! in a foreign country. I can't wrap my head around parents who think that would be ok
Our neighbours often sit out on the street together socialising and drinking, meanwhile leaving their young kids in the house... I have often thought, imagine one wandered out and went missing. We live in a nice neighbourhood too but our neighbours are all so codependent on one another - we barely know them though and they find us weird but we are the only ones without children. One day I came home from grocery shopping, it was around lunchtime and I was in our garage. I could hear a little kid outside shouting and crying for their mum, I thought that they were maybe having a tantrum. Anyway, they didn't stop so I walked around the corner of the house, and there was our next-door neighbour's 3-year-old son out on the driveway in his pajamas and barefoot. I was appalled at what I saw. I went over to him and asked where his mum was and he pointed to a neighbour's house so I walked him over there. The mum came to the door and was "annoyed" that the kid had wandered out rather than being worried. I live in Alberta, Canada, where there is no law in regards to children being left at home alone: "There is no legislation in Alberta that determines an age at which a child may safely be left home alone." The rest of Canada has one, which is 10-12 years old. A very backward province indeed, children can start learning to drive at 14.

Point is, it is not just the Mccann's that do it. Our neighbours in a nice neighbourhood too and it is infuriating.

I really hope that isn't the case, and from looking at the timeline as well as the information they released today I think this may actually be a strong suspect. They mentioned in 2017 that information was sent to them about someone which they were looking into. And today the met stated that they have been investigating this man since 2017, so could be the same person 🤔
