I do find lt strange James isn’t looking after Beau in their own house, presumably it’s big enough - Maeva could still semi Isolate. Or is he there so he can be at Maeva’s beck and call?

He also could have gone and stayed with his mum and looked after Beau. He probably also has it now though. I think it’s one week tomorrow since Maeva posted she had given Beau to her MIL. I wonder how long they plan to be away from him for. Ten days? Or until a negative test?

I can’t get my head round two parents leaving a baby like that. I quite liked them as well. Surely James is likely to catch the virus from Maeva and then are they going back to square one and leaving Beau with granny for longer? Or giving him to someone else to look after? Hmmm

I literally came back to this thread after seeing they’d dumped the baby on the MIL!!! How are they sleeping at night!!! Anyway, her response in that screenshot got me thinking, is it like a French cultural thing? Where that’s the norm when you’re ill? Because why is she so outraged. Make it make sennnseeeeeeee lord

I’m pregnant with my first child and would be really worried if I caught covid while the baby was small so can definitely understand Maeva not wanting to risk passing it on to Beau. I don’t however understand why James has come back from his holiday and gone home, I’d had thought he would have gone to his Mums to be with the baby and find it very odd that he hasn’t.

I bet James’ mum is shattered getting up with a newborn, totally agree that he should have been with Beau at the very least. Presumably Maeva demanded James look after her (and catch it!). If she’s that sick why didn’t Maeva’s parents travel over?

She’s not that sick if they were able to get dressed and go and stand outside his mum’s house to see Beau through the window, on more than one occasion. I don’t know how close his mum is to them.

I don't judge meava for leaving baby with mum in-law because she has covid, we don't know how ill she was, she might be really fearful of covid as many are and James was away.

But I judge James. He should have gone to mums to help care for the baby.

But baby is being looked after, he'll back with mum once she's better. Is not that bad. I just think dad should have stepped up once he was back not left it to his mummy.

I’ve just watched Bonjour baby I was biting my nails watching James’s mum try to persuade Maeva to breastfeed, if it had been anyone else Meava would bite their head off

Also I see both sides of it, they don’t want to make their newborn sick, but you can’t give your baby to your parents every time your unwell.

To be fair, my immediate family treat covid like the plague more because of the impact it has on jobs/daily life. True we don't know how ill Maeva was, she's a first time mum and the baby already had an a&e scare so she's erring with caution. I'm more side-eyeing James for his holibobs when Maeva had to heal from her c-section and Covid alone. Not to mention grieving her grandmother and going through the birth without her own family there.
They are first timers but surely aware they'd attract more attention and opinions after their tv special. They are the ones documenting all of this so a cynical part of me thinks they want a few column inches too. We don't know the full circumstances but I know Jemz' mum will be glad to hand him back over, must be tiring.

Don't really like her after the passport incident. The cast often refer her as smart and intelligent and I am still looking forward to finally seeing this side of her.

Haven't read any of her books yet but maybe give it a go some time in the future

I do really like Caggie. She's very classy and embodied the original spirit of what Made in Chelsea was meant to be about. How things have changed! Her podcast is decent but there have been episodes I've quickly skipped because they've erred too much on the side of pretentious twaddle you'd hear on the Goop podcast.

Good for Mimi. I didn't see that one lasting tbh, and didn't have a favourable opinion of her after she rampantly chased after Fred while he was in a new relationship with Olivia, which effectively caused their break-up. But I did feel bad for her when Tiff slut-shamed her when she got with Sam after his and Tiff's break up. She was pretty vile towards her, from what I remember, and called her a fat dumpling. Overall, I think she was one of the less aggravating cast members over the years, which is saying something She does love banging on about manifestations, doesn't she?

Oh wow. I quite liked the Liv/Fred combo and thought it was a shame it didn't work out. If it is fabricated then I'm surprised that the producers set up that scene where Liv completely lost her shit at Mimi in a club, calling her the trashiest, cheapest human being she's met in her life. It seemed to come from a very, er, real place and would be a bit fucked up for the producers to fabricate that too(Perhaps Mimi just said that to save face?) I can't find the exact clip on YouTube but I did come across this one, and Liv's rage seems pretty real to me lol...
