I don't think Melissa is back with her ex, I think she's just chasing him atm, he hasn't liked a single pic of hers for a while, she's liked all of his, she didn't mention him in the most recent episode of the podcast either
he probably got the ick from her and miles acting like a couple trying to make him jealous, I remember when I did that in 6th form xx
 
Melissa is far too snobby to go out with Miles & would dismiss him for the same ‘colouring’ reasons dumbo Emily did… Both will happily flirt with him for clout and jealousy making but aside from his incredibly ambiguous sexual orientation which obviously doesn’t appeal to them either, they both would think they are too good for someone who isn’t a ‘thoroughbred’ in their minds 🙄

the thing is, Maevas dad is apparently a big businessman in the publishing industry. She herself is reported to have a net worth of £1million

James’ dad is called Darren Taylor. In the 90s he, along with some business associates, bought a company called holroyd components, a company that makes heating mats. It’s a leader in Europe for this particular type of product and owns contracts from healthcare providers and the military. In other words… pretty big money. James is set to take over the company and has a predicted net worth of £5million.

so she’s part of a wealthy couple, multimillionaires… and she’s still begging online.

thats how the rich stay rich. By never paying their way or relinquishing their money, then pretending they’ve worked and earned it all.

Yeah, she did say their skin tones would work well together. Bit of a divvy comment but nothing racist. E4/no channel would ever air someone saying something about people's "colourings" not working together.
 
It didn’t ‘read that way’ because that isn’t what was said. In any case I’m not Emily (thankfully) nor am I here to be some kind of interpretive encyclopaedia to someone’s else’s words. Emily’s wording and thought process was odd at that time, those are my opinions and I’m not here to justify them. Watch the ep again (which has been mis quoted amongst this conversation) and make your own mind up, like I have.
