Talking of awkward moments on MIC - does anyone else remember Caggie wanting to launch a music career so they showed her singing in one episode but she chose ‘Man Down’ by Rihanna? I wish I could forget that, I cringed so much my toes were in pain from curling so hard. Just tried to find a clip on YouTube but it isn’t there so I can’t inflict it on you all 😂

and by boring they meant, they didn’t sleep with a guy who was dating someone else and they didn’t let men mistreat them.

the vast majority of the cast of MIC (past and present) are deeply unpleasant people. Even the relatively inoffensive Binky is as shallow as a puddle. Jamie is a narcissist for sure. Rosie was a snob. Caggie was self involved and pretentious. Spencer was deeply misogynistic. Louise could have written a guidebook in gaslighting.

against that type of cabal of personality disorders I think most normal, nice people would be “boring”.
Yeah, I agree they are all flawed. But I feel like the way Hugo spoke to Cheska like she was garbage for relaying info about his cheating ways was so uncalled for. And in the same scene, he turns around as was sweet to Binky. And Binky of course didn't stand up for her. I feel like that was a common theme. Cheska getting ganged up on and treated as less than by the 'cool crowd' and Binky having the attitude of "...well, they have always been kind to me...".

At times I thought Cheska could be too invested in people's tit when it wasn't worth it (like the whole Richard thing) but at the end of the day, she was a loyal friend. More loyal than a lot of them on the show who talk about what good friends they are to others. I wonder if Ollie keeps in touch with her? He seems more close to Binky. Binky wouldn't own up to ditching Cheska for Lucy, etc. I remember she said something really snide in an interview or something, like that Cheska wasn't as innocent as she appears.

Maeva has been giving me a few laughs this season (in moments that technically shouldn't be funny). The way she words things sometimes is just gold. She has some quotable moments lol.

Maeva: "I gave up London for you're bleeping countryside! Can you believe that? I am stuck now in bleeping Saffron Walden. I don't know what I am going to bleeping do."

James: "You're not stuck. You're not stuck."

Maeva: "I'm not stuck! Trust me, I'm gonna find a way to escape from there! I'll need time but I'll do it!"

Lol, it makes it seem like Saffron Walden is out in the boonies. So dramatic and funny. I can picture Mavea plotting her freedom. I am not from England, but is Saffron Walden really far from London?

And then from this episode 9

Maeva: "On my side, I've been working very hard to forgive him."

James: "You're doing well."

Maeva: "I know I'm bleeping doing well!"

I have grown to really appreciate her no filter, just saying exactly what's in her head.

Also, Liv is very male-identified (feminist lingo for the type of woman that will side with a man or give a man the benefit of the doubt over women always). The way she didn't go in on Sam Prince at all for dropping her as a friend was very telling. She didn't have any venom for him at all like she does her woman friends.

I stalked Cheska on insta recently asking the same question and she and Ollie are still in touch! Almost warmed this cold dead heart to see he and Gareth visited her end of last year and he is ‘uncle Ollie’ to her son 🥺🥺

If you rewatch every season, you realise how much of a terrible friend binky is to both cheska and Lucy, especially during the season where Alex cheated on her.
They were there through everything and she threw them ti the side, but I loved how it made Lucy and cheska become way closer.

i would have loved to have seen their friendship on screen, Apparantly when Victoria called cheska a fat turkey Lucy went absolutely ape tit and they didn’t air it (if you rewatch you can see Andy trying to keep Lucy calm and holding her back in a way)

I wish they’d aired that. Lucy v Victoria would have been amazing
