In the last poll we voted on how long we thought Christmas with the MGs will last. 38% of us thought Lidl would post every day for a week and fall ill! Let's see!
* Vlogmas / Novembermas kicked off with an extra long two minute intro, filmed by Ali.
* Billed as Christmas with the Millen Gordons, Ali referred to it as "Lydia's Vlogmas intro".
* She said he "brought her vision" to life. We said he resurrected the dead...for a horror movie.
* The intro featured:
- Lidl stomping across misty, soggy fields with the doggies
- Lidl tipping her flat cap to camera
- Lidl pulling shop bought carrots from the coffin beds
- Lidl placing fake presents, riding boots and carrots in the Defender
- Lidl, in tweed jacket and Chanel brooch trotting on lame, fat Romeo
- Lidl carrying brown paper wrapped gifts into the living room
- The 'family' in front of the fire, where Ali made a guest appearance.
* Vlogmas will be 4 times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)....so far we've had:
Vlogmas Day 1 "Christmas will be different this year." They are spending it alone. Er...you were alone last Christmas Day!
(When they had no room they couldn't have guests; now they have room they don't want them!)
Vlogmas Day 2 "My wonderful friends and 30 Christmas party outfits." It featured the threewitches witches, Lidl, her employee Cawwie and flying monkey make up artist Alex at a KM shoot. Both were shot in early November.
* The Bunga and fake Christmas trees were decorated by a hired help...with Lydia adding a few pheasant feathers.
* Lidl said she was going "back to basics" by reusing decorations. She bought new as you can't affiliate link old ones!
* We speculated that Lidl's tearful rant in her car was because Nicholsons couldn't finish the garden in time for filming.
Round up of other news:
* Lidl described #savoygate as a "misunderstanding" rather than a scandal.
* Jodie May said Lidl was on her phone at the Savoy theatre the whole time, scrolling through her #savoygate TikTok comments!
* The Independent's #savoygate article on Lidl has had 3 million views.
* We enjoyed @shameless_podcast presenters snorting with laughter at Lidl's"worst possible" responses to #savoygate comments.
* HGTudor has made a You Tube video about Lidl called "Is this a narcissist?", mentioning #hairgate. He's well known for his videos on narcissist Meghan Markle but he speaks very sloooooowwwwwly so watch it speeded up!
* We welcomed some tea from @letsplayhorsey and @InstaLurka7 .
* Lidl put out a TikTok about how she should wear a headband.
* Lidl was at a design meeting with Cara Mellon for 2023 campaigns!!!
* She's ditched all her ear furniture...too chavy!
* "Every next level of your life will demand a different version of you" said Lidl...reinventing herself as a humble amateur rider.
* Vic is selling half her handbags and donating the money to charity
* Vic and hubby went to the Ralph Lauren ball. Ali was there alone, fielding #savoygate questions, in his black watch tartan blazer...
