The Thirlwall Inquiry is underway. There is a huge amount of information on the inquiry website, I’ve linked the main pages below.

Next week the inquiry will hear from all
Four execs of the hospital

Sorry to go back again and this may have already been shared but I hadn’t realised one of the family lawyers gets Brearey to explicitly state that he thinks she killed/assaulted babies at CoCH prior to June 2015.

I heard this on the podcast earlier, they had the actual audio. It’s very direct.

Also Mr B talking about feeling very uncomfortable speaking to one of the families not on the indictment about knowing he had concerns over their baby’s death but not feeling able to be open with them.

They have updated the layout of the website for evidence and transcripts this afternoon and I don’t like it!!!

Although you can click the download link directly from the evidence page so that will be easier.

Wasn't Dr Oliver Rackham the doctor from Liverpool Women's hospital who tried to save baby P and according to Dr Noname was singing Letbys praises (probs never happened). It will interesting to hear from him.
I’d be really interested to hear from all the hospitals that may have been sent babies from CoCH. It was actually a hospital in Nottingham that first raised the alarm about Beverly Allitt as they were being sent far more patients from Grantham.
I wonder if we will hear anything about her training days at LWH or whether detailed evidence on that will be saved for the further charges.

Yeah, I wonder if Dr Noname made up a lot of the " isn't Lucy an amazing nurse" stuff up to try and pull her. A doctor at the Thirlwall enquiry said Dr Noname had misreported what the doctors said about Lucy ( at a doctor's meeting after she was removed).

They did mention the tube dislodgements at LWH in the opening statements so we should hear more about that at some point.

I’m just reading transcript for Dr Rajiv Mittal (Designated Doctor for Safeguarding and Child Death Overview Panel)

OMG he’s so frustrating! I don’t think it’s deliberate but he keeps waffling on and not answering the questions so the KC has to keep trying to get him to focus. I don’t know if he’s nervous but he’s not listening. There is a lot of ‘my lady’ in his responses. He was also told to talk slower earlier on.

I've looked back at the transcript. On 5th July they had a meeting to dicuss the deaths, Dr ZA said the connection with Lucy's presence was made very clear. Dr Noname said to Lucy that her documentation was flawless and misses out the fact the doctors think she's involved with the deaths. Lady Thirlwall challenges Dr Noname on this account and he says he must have left the meeting early.

Oh yes I don’t think I made the link at the time. He’s definitely lying to Letby. I wonder if they purposely avoided talking about her around him though (so he really did leave early and they then discussed Letby without him). But there is no way they would have said something so positive about her.

I think he knew exactly what was said and what they were thinking, but he didn't believe it himself so he just told the evil one what he thought she wanted to hear, and because they didn't actually say anything nice about her, he just made it up.

Mr Skelton is definitely trying to get to the bottom of the Stephen Cross demotion rumours! Hope he manages it.

This was him asking Nigel Wenham of Cheshire police

Would he not tip her off though? So she could prepare herself? That’s my only thought really on why I don’t think he was privy to those discussions plus the 7 consultants seemed to keep it amongst themselves and not discuss with other junior doctors.

Either way thought he was definitely lying and making stuff up! It’s clear he was lying to the inquiry too but I expect he will get away with it like he has everything else.

"..I have got no direct knowledge of that" sounds like, 'I've heard it all on the grapevine but I am not going to tell'
