I feel like that doesn’t make sense. Kaz and Liberty wouldn’t have been at uni at the same time, considering Lib was 21 on the show and Kaz was 26. Which means Lib would have been 13 at the time Kaz started uni…don’t really think that’s an age that they’d be partying together lol

On Reddit the producer did a Q and A last week and someone suggested this !! They said there should be an over 30s version with single mums and dads, dad bods etc and they said the drama would be immense when you actually put people on looking for love genuinely. The producer responded and basically was like that’s an excellent idea and to leave it with him.
There were so many questions asked on the thread but he really responded positively to that one. I was excited cause that’s what I’ve been saying the winter love Island should always have been !!

People do go back to socialise frequently in city where they went to uni after graduation to visit friends, will have shared friends / social scene & both interested in influencing. 5 yr age difference doesn’t mean much beyond 16. Liberty started working in Nandos at 16 when Kaz was at Uni there, very common for girls in Birmingham to start going out in city at weekends 14+ as they pass as 18. Not saying they were best friends but knew each other before show. Instant close friendship without saying much to each other, much more than with the other LI girls was suss.

I hope they make it happen 😄 but I just couldn’t believe how many people said it would be boring just because they’re older?? I honestly think there would be more drama if people were serious about finding love!

I like the idea, but think that most parents wouldnt be able to leave their kids behind while they head of to Majorca in search of instagram fame.

I would have a lot of thoughts to be honest abput a mum or dad that would be happy to have no contact with their kids for 8 weeks of the show plus the quarantine period

She is so much skinnier now than when she was on and tbh doesn't look well. She was gorgeous in LI such a shame she bowed to the pressures and got the bolt ons, and as per, far too big and awkward looking on her skeletal frame

Exactly.
Being in the same town doesn't mean you know everyone in that town. Or going to the same uni (at different times) doesn't mean you are friends with everyone at that uni.

I literally ran into someone who was a year above me the other day. He said he remembered me and knew my name, and I literally didn't have a glue who he was...
 
Didn't someone in the first series have children or a child , I'm sure she ended up leaving the show to go back to them or offered to be voted out , can't remember exactly
 
I honestly think the key to a good series is if the producers genuinely try to matchmake and not just put in “big personalities” who aren’t compatible with anyone else in there. For example, the reason why S5 was so good is because there were genuine feelings involved, Amy fell hard for Curtis and the fall out was epic. Amber fell for Michael and look how that turned out. None of the couples last year were believable. The real drama from LI comes from people having real connections and if they focused more on finding matches for people and not the best future influencers they’d have the show they want.

Edited to say, look at the early early series for examples. S2 was epic and have two couples that are still together now. I don’t think there’s any couples from the last two series that are still together.

S6 and 7 actually have the most couples still together. S1 and 4 are the only seasons where all of the couples have split.

Yep .. can someone please enlighten me as to how Faye and Teddie are still together 🙄. The song 🎵 it must be love music 🎵 does not spring to mind. At least Teddie has a promising acting career on the horizon, heard he has a recurring role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit .. 😉

I think the Italian lad is rotten anyway to be fair didn’t even bother looking at his insta to see what he actually looks like, just this lad and Dami are decent looking to me
