YES!!!!! He doesn’t even try at this point. And the constant woe is me thing is sooo dull. At least Dr Alex had a bit of personality going for him and wasn’t just seeking sympathy.

Yes I loved him until the Faye thing. Said he liked her. She said she was interested potentially and he’s she liked Liam and went there but he didn’t even try or fight just literally gave up. If you want a girl to like you. Make it clear how much you want her ffs.

The only one I got wrong actually was Hugo picking Rachel... I think there was a conversation earlier in the day that we didn't see where Teddy told the boys who he was picking (he definitely seemed to fancy Faye the most of the 4 girls) and the other 2 agreed to keep the OGs in (because Rachel was coming off fatal attractionesque). Hugo got the short straw (obviously).

I went through a very brief phase of liking Chloe. That phase is definitely over.

I give it to you. You did. But I still think he doesn't like BW. I know his type. Doesn't mean he can't be friends with BW like Kaz.

Tbh Teddy as I said follows no BW on Instagram so Rachel had no chance.

None of the them like BW. It's actually kinda sad tbh

The viewers felt real sympathy for Dr Alex and production rolled out ‘suitable’ candidates week after week. Don’t think they’ll bother with Hugo, nice enough bloke but “man slices pineapple” doesn’t really have the same gravitas as “man saves lives in his role as emergency doctor”.
 
I'm watching S2 while I'm working from home, and it's so much better. It's much less polished and everyone seems genuine and relatable.
The girls & boys chats are more candid and believable, doesn't feel scripted at all. They look like they're actually having a good time.

OHHH! and remember when they could text each other? Why don't they do that now?

I’ve just watched a best bits highlights on YouTube for season 2 and I’m actually shook. It was like a completely different show. It looks amazing, real, raw, and seemingly minimal producer interference. Real people with character and flaws and none of this one dimensional sterile and Uber aware wannabes we have come to know in recent series. It might as well be a different show entirely tbh. Not sure why they even bother with it anymore when it is now a shell of its former self
 
At the age of 21 I was at university figuring out the moves to Steps 5,6,7,8, ruining my hair at foam parties and learning how not to burn pasta.

I certainly wasn’t looking to find ‘The One’ on national television with 9 other no-hopers- the thought of settling with one person when there was a whole students union full to practice with, gave me the ick.

If there’s another series, they absolutely have to up the age of 80% of these ‘contestants’ to make it even a tiny bit viable and believable.

It's pathetic. I don't even blame the contestants, you fancy what you fancy, but how hard is it for the producers to find a man attracted to black women?!

We all have different ideas of what is beautiful. I don't like overly long hair on females. I'm blonde but in my view the most beautiful women are dark haired (Olivia Munn, Natalie Portman, Lupita Nyongo). We don't even have a white brunette in there?! The island is drowning in peroxide.

It's similar to Big Brother. The first couple of series were good becasue they were new/unscripted. But then the contestants become more aware of the cameras and how the public will view them (Faye, bitchy yet says "I hate bitchiness" and then makefake apologies / Hugo "the nice boy" and sympathy vote), producers try too hard to reproduce what has worked well in the past, but when it's scripted/forced. It just doesn't work.

None are really looking to settle down. As I said above they are very aware of the show, camera, public view, they just want to become "famous" AKA advertise Skinny Tea and cheap clothes on Insta...

Yeah this is what I am now starting to think. Like he wants a girl to slot into his nice simple life which there isn't anything wrong with necessarily. I don't think he'll find it. No fucking way is Lucinda gonna bin off her modelling deals to go hiking in Northumbria on a weekend. I still think he's dull but I'm not sure he's a "bad" guy. Just simple

If I start backing this lad and he starts being funny I'm gonna be fuming with myself 😂
 
Millie is going to get the ick with Liam very soon if she hasn't already. You could tell she was thinking 'wtf' last night when she was trying to squeeze a convo/a bit of get up and go/a hint of charisma out of him. He was looking particularly gormless as well and seems like a crap kisser

Have you watched the unseen bits from Saturday? He’s not necessarily funny…. But you can see a lot more of his friendships in the villa and get more of a feel for what he would be like. I actually think the unseen bits is the best episode of the week, why they don’t but these clips in the main episodes I don’t know! Better than that hideous food challenge.
