Having been in an abusive relationship myself, I am quite able to spot ‘red flags’. That doesn’t give me the right to publicly brand someone an abuser after watching them for an hour a day on a tv show! A show which is HIGHLY edited to make the audience think and perceive people in whichever way they wish. They employ people to actually do this!
We’re not judge and
Okay... but this is Tattle. It's a gossip site, we watch the show and voice our opinions. We aren't sending them DMs or threats. We are chatting here, having a laugh.
Why is it okay to tear Lucinda apart for being a ditzy, manipulative vacant air head (all things that will affect her and her family just as much as Danny's) but not okay to point out the toxic aggressive behaviour of Danny??
I truly don't understand.

Im yet to see someone say it's okay. The point is it's way off the scale the things people are coming up with based on assumptions. Not to mention dangerous for the guy and his family.
You said it wasn’t done in a malicious way but it doesn’t matter if it was or wasn’t, it is wrong and the fact he used it so casually says a lot about his character. If someone I knew used the word in a supposed ‘non-malicious’ I would not be friends with them let alone want to see them on national television.

People have made assumptions about all of the islanders. Sharon and Faye have received massive amounts of backlash, Lucinda gets comments slating her, all of them at one point have had it. Doesn’t make it right but sadly it is part of going on a show like LI, you will get people putting out their views. Also this is Tattle an anonymous forum where the comments never get sent directly to the person or their family?

I think it’s because some things being said on other sites like Twitter are genuinely awful - similar to Chloe receiving death threats at the start rather than this site in particular.

Well that's why I'm not on twitter, it's a sespit. Doesn't mean people should be giving out to people on this thread cause of something people on twitter are saying... that makes no sense to me.

I totally agree with this. I don’t like Danny in the slightest but everyone’s raving on like he’s a massive racist. It’s dangerous. It could ruin his life having that sort of stigma attached to him.

I don’t condone the n word being thrown around but some people aren’t educated enough to know how offensive it really is. Or have friends that don’t mind them saying it so then think they’re entitled to use.
I went out with a guy who was black at college for about 6 months, him and his white mates were always pissing about calling each other white trash, wassup my n****, not once was anyone offended, context matters.

Agree with the above…Lucinda will still get her PLT deal and boost her instagram and be flogging teeth whiteners and fake tan and whatever tat she gets paid for…Danny has been called an abuser and a white supremacist cos he wiuldnt stand for her tit…agree he is not particularly likeable but hes a human being about to get hit with a mountain of abuse and negative attention…

At the big age of 23/24 he should’ve known not to use a slur. He wasn’t a silly teenager, he was a grown man. And if he was willing to say that online for everyone to see then god knows what he was saying offline. Context doesn’t change the fact that it’s highly ignorant.
