Does anyone else think that some of the Islanders planned some of these hook ups and ads? Francesca from season 5 Storying her jewelry and showing all the islanders wearing it in the Villa (chris etc) Also the Arabella hook up with Chris seems calculated. Arabella just broke up with her boyfriend a few weeks before the show. I really believe some of these islanders had conversations before the Villa and made plans.
 
I know this is an unpopular opinion but I've grown tired of Maya very quickly. Yes she's absolutely insanely stunning visually but I just don't think she has the personality to be the host of this show sadly. It was somebody saying above about Maura hosting the games one and I can just imagine she'd be so much better, so much more fun and personable (and I'm not even a Maura fan!)
...I really wanted AJ Odudu to be the host and Maya was my second favourite hope but she's just not doing it for me... Anyone else?

I also thought she was really unfairly 'mean girl'ish towards Demi in her exit interview, left a sour taste for me!

AJ was crap on Big Brother. The interviews were dead she never pressed for the drama. Iconic for her “please do not swurrrrr” though.

Yeah I agree with you, I don't think she brings much to the table apart from visually. And it is something the irks me, when presenters try to take over from the show with their outfits etc ( Amanda Holden on Britain's got talent for example)

My favourite presenters ever I think were Davina or Emma Willis on BB back in it's good days. They complimented the show rather than taking over.

I think the presenter is given very little freedom over what they can do/say, this is one of the reasons Laura Whitmore left. So it's always going to be difficult for them to put their real personality across. I much prefer Maya on Aftersun where she has people to bounce off and it's a bit more natural than the bits she does in the villa. I think she does a great job considering she's probably given a bunch of rules to abide by.

I have never thought about the host when it comes to love island. The most they do is strut into the villa the odd night. When Maya interviewed Demi was she not just following what the producers asked?
 
Possibly but the way it was delivered was very palpable as to how she felt!

I just think back to Caroline and it just felt much more natural and less awkward, it always feels awkward and stilted to me with Maya (and I also wasn't even a fan of Caroline particularly either!)

I know it's not fair to compare her to the original host because obviously you can't compare the 2, and yeh she's infinitely better than Laura (not hard lol) but yeh I just think someone like Maura would be able to present it in a more natural way with more personality and less like they're reading their lines/just going through the motions 🤷🏾‍♀️
 
My heart aches for Callum. Finding a new connection with Georgia, only for a familiar 6"5 bombshell to walk through the door :cry:

It’s not been the same since Caroline flack Laura wasn’t too bad but again it wasn’t Caroline I don’t think anyone will ever compare it’s like BB for me it’s always been davina

Liberty has been an easy catch for him due to her insecurities and wanting to be the main couple. She coupled up with Jake from day one in her series and she was pretty smug throughout. Not being someone’s main focus is driving her insecurities even deeper. meanwhile she and Kaz aren’t doing each other any favours. They give off serious witch vibes together which aren’t helping them one bit

At the event where he told Amber Gill ‘I fancied you when you were straight’, he was heard huffing very loudly to Zach ‘We’re the most famous people in here’, and at some point in the evening he threw change at a homeless person who was begging (as in ‘meant to hit them’). Mitch is truly truly vile
 
Can't believe I didn't even think to check if there was a Love Island thread on here 🙄

So, my opinion so far-
-Arabella and Chris, weird match, happened too easy, seems staged.
-Hannah, omg I couldn't hold a conversation with her. I'd need to shake her to tell her to hurry up and finish her sentence!! 😩
-Molly needs to make up her mind, she can't have her cake and eat it but I hope she doesn't take callum back if Georgia fucks him off for this other fellow.
-Anton, what work has he had done? He looks horrendous compared to what he used to. Has he had drug issues? He seems very twitchy or something.
Liberty- shut up. Enough said on her.

AJ’s voice goes straight through me. Not as much as Liberty’s does, but close!

How does Georgia know Tom .. Appreciate you probably don’t know but there seems to be history there, one of which they both seem fond. That said we only saw a small snip of their chat and who knows what we should take from it, probably just OTT flirting for camera time. Georgia should be well aware that binning off Callum at this juncture is not a good look.
