Think it's something to do with hundreds of years of colonization etc.

It's Anyone But England with a lot of us.

Have to laugh though. So many people in Ireland support English premiership teams and would ACTUALLY die for them. But when it comes to the English team? They want to see them burn. Not really into football myself to be honest. So what the duck do I know.

I understand the history taught in English schools is selective so a certain amount of confusion is forgiven but start researching for yourself on the reality of British cough cough English rule and policies near and far in the beloved empire. It’s DEFINITELY not jealousy

Ok thank you, I honestly wasn’t sure and not trying to appear rude or anything. I kind of knew England were generally hated, but I suppose I’ve seen more of it in the last few weeks on the socials with the Euros … it’s been REALLY obvious lately 🫣😆 It’s a shame, but I get it
