I know I’m late but Millie and Liam are just so boring and miserable!! I just watched their Dubai vlog & was cringing inside out at them going drunk to the airport and her puking… who does that

I maintain they seemed more into each other in the villa than they do now. She really nags at him, I put it on the background because I was bored Lol and all I remember was her calling him pathetic because he couldn't remember the name of some fish and her making fun of the way he ate. Liberty looked way better on the show than she does now I think. I hope she doesn't get any more work done but that's unlikely if we're honest
I watched Liam’s vlog from last week and about 90% of the vlog was him complaining about Millie and how she doesn’t do any chores and even on his instagram story the other day he said how he was glad she was away for the night so he didn’t have to watch her favourite show, I know it’s said in jest, but recently I’ve noticed they aren’t very nice about each other at all. It’s probably just their humour and they shake it off, but sometimes I wonder whether they don’t get on and maybe don’t want to break up because of public gossip. Liam especially is a completely different Liam who seemed to worship the ground his Millie Moo walked on in the villa. In a strange way I find it endearing that they show their arguments and their jibes at each other because I like that they don’t try to appear as a picture perfect couple, but it’s also not really a good sign if it’s happening often and they are irritating each other
She looks so different. You wouldn’t know it’s her in half her pictures

I agree! The thing is though while I do prefer it to pretending they're perfect I don't think they're trying to be real and show the rough patches, I think they - especially Millie - seem to think pissing each other off constantly is cute. Fiat 500 girls LOVE complaining about their boyfriends. In the villa they seemed infatuated with each other in a way that was half-sickly half-cute, I don't remember the constant sniping. Maybe it was cut out to give them the winner's edit.

Just read the article from Jake and honestly I think he is telling some truths, I think the paper have exaggerated to get sales but I do think he genuinely liked Lib in the end. I honestly think Lib was playing a game the whole time and she has fashioned herself to be the next Molly Mae and when she realised they weren’t popular anymore she wanted rid.
I am so sick of her posting photos that look nothing like her in real life! The face tune and making herself looks slimmer is such a dangerous thing for her young crowd.
i also don’t know why she is so popular, she’s got the personality of a wet dish cloth!

I agree that by the end he liking her but I think they both used each other for the ‘power couple’ status, he couldn’t give her one compliment it was always “But you’re my gurrrlfriend, Lib”
I feel his actions were consistent and the same throughout so I think the ending of her time there was purely for popularity because when they filmed their segment for the after sun show, she didn’t seem that opposed to getting back with him…

I always thought they were both using each other for the power couple image as well. But I rewatched that series after it had finished, and it was interesting to see that for the first few weeks Lib kept on about how Jake kept giving her loads of compliments. It didn't fit the story she gave later about how he never had. I think they both changed tactic when they realised they weren't the golden couple that they'd aimed to be, but it worked out better for Lib than it did for Jake.

This is true - I wouldn't say I was a 'fan' of any islanders but I mainly liked Lib at the time because I felt bad for her and because I thought her and Kaz had one of the only genuine friendships that season.
I thought the Lib/Kaz friendship was genuine but that Lib was also pushing it as THE friendship from the get go. Same way she was pushing her and Jake as THE relationship. She had a the most basic game plan from the get go and in fairness to her it seemed to work for her.
I remember one unseen bits episode where Liberty, Jake, Millie and Lucinda were having some random convo about marmite and Millie was asking why objects are named what they’re named or something along those lines, and they were all coming out with dumb s*** but Liberty was talking something about Latin and actually being the only intelligent one in the conversation
. What I’m getting at is I think Liberty is smarter than people give her credit for and I don’t think general knowledge is the only thing she’s clued up on, I think she’s a smart girl all round and she probably played the best game on love islandnowhey6678

I don't think she was manipulative and wanted people to think she was dumb either (as opposed to the way although I really like her Chloe plays up the childish thing sometimes) because she kept saying she was a smart girl but people - including me! - dismissed that because she's young and seemed a bit clueless about relationships. Also god bless her that brummie accent doesn't help!
