There definitely are young girls who watch it. My mate watches with her 14 year old, all the girls friends are into it. As much as I usually love it, it's not exactly a great example to the younger generation.
 
I can't believe Chloe and Toby are the couple I want to win 😂 not because I love them as a couple, they are just the best out of a bad bunch.

Id say the girls would be afraid to say anything to her about the way she looked 😂 I can't imagine Faye takes constructive criticism well. I could see her going on one like she did with Teddy if someone told Faye her chocolate lipstick isn't a good look 😂
 
Genuine question to anyone shocked about them having sex - did you ever watch the earlier seasons?

I think the fact that they all planned it rather than letting it just happen when it feels right was a bit cringe, but other than that, I don’t massively see the having sex/self worth connection.

Women can have sex and respect themselves too.

I agree previous seasons have been a lot worse. I also don’t get people saying they wouldn’t want 14/15 year olds to watch it, a few years ago it felt like everyone was watching it above 16 or below. They’re consenting adults having sex after supposedly finding a bond with each other I can’t really see why that’s a negative thing for someone to see, 14 year olds know about sex 😂

I totally agree. People have sex every season, it would be difficult for a bunch of 20-somethings not to for 8 weeks while around other single people, let’s be real. Having sex doesn’t correlate to self respect or lack of it in 2021, it shouldn’t.

def was uncomfortable that they all agreed to do it at the same time but whatever. they probably voiced (outside what was aired) that they were uncomfortable doing it with others around and their decision was “well if we all do it it’s fine”? still sounds odd to us but living in there isn’t a normal experience.

i hate all the lack of self respect comments, they’re all targeted at the girls - it’s as if there aren’t partners doing it with the girls? Oh I forgot apparently men aren’t held to the same standards as women!

I haven't watched the last FIVE episodes because I've been bored to tears, are most of you here feeling the same as me in that you're still not endeared to anyone really, the relationships don't feel as warm and special as other seasons, I don't like these people on my screen... etc?

I like Toby and Chloe and I've noticed Liam, despite his f up, is really warm to the guys, he seems like a caring friend.

But otherwise I don't get it.

I cannot stand Priya at all. I'm sure she's sweet but she comes across stiff and dry and her humor is..... well, where is it? She reminds me of Niomi Smart and it's not the right vibe for this showI I feel. Bonus is she's natural and very pretty, so I get that.
Did anyone feel like Matt putting his hand on her leg was really awkward before that peck? He came across kind of weird, although he looks worlds better than Brett, maybe Brett is still a better match idk.


Someone yesterday said that Brett reminded them of Randall from Monsters Inc and whoever you were, I just want you to know I was sick and having a tit night and I laughed at that so hard I banged my head on the bed frame. Now I keep pissing myself when I see Brett on screen thinking of freaking Randall.

Y'all are my heroes in here. Keeps LI alive more than what comes on screen.
 
Don’t think the fact they have sex is shocking think it’s the fact they can happily show that than do stuff like tweets challenge because of mental health? Think islanders mental health has been worse when they’ve had sex on TV and came out like the girl who got her sash revoked and stuff
