watched the scene 3 times, even my hypersensitive ass didn't get any kind of alert from what he said..... I'm no team Cole but Zanab is just projecting here.. the only lie I think Cole is telling is that he loves Zanab, cause honestly there is nothing to love about her

Nah I'm sorry but Zanab is scary. That speech was straight up vindictive - she wanted her Deepti moment, but Deepti never tore Shake down to bring herself up. Coles a prick but that doesn't justify how she straight up LIED and said Cole called her fat and also made another elaborate lie about girls Cole “wanted to kiss” at the bachelor party but Matt admitted that there was no girls and they ubered home. And noticed how much ANGER those girls had for Cole and not Bartholomew? Bet you any money Zanab has been filling the group chat with more lies about him. She’s a very sad woman and needs therapy stat

I respectfully disagree. I can’t really comment on zanab lying etc but, from personal experience, i totally agree that Cole was disrespectful and he completely deserved to be called out on it. If he was not into her because she is not his type, then he should have left her alone. I felt zanab’s pain - it’s awful knowing that you will never ever be able enough for your partner, despite there being nothing “wrong” with you. It’s shattering if you already have shaky self esteem. I’m not saying zanab is perfect, but I’m so so glad she humiliated him. It’s not even tearing him down - she was just stating facts. His own behaviour was his undoing. With bartise it feels different - no doubt bartise is a knob, but there was this racial element with Cole that made it even more uncomfortable.

I think there must be some truth in Cole behaving poorly towards Zanab because the other cast members seemed quite against him and I’m not sure that strength of feeling could be purely based on hearsay from her bitching about him. I also believe her when she said that he told her he’d asked to kiss some other girl because it seemed too specific to be made up and recalled in that way. It also seems like something he would be stupid enough to do.
That said, I think she felt insecure when she saw him, doubled down on that when he told her that Colleen was much more his type physically and then received other comments he made negatively when perhaps they weren’t meant that way. The orange incident happened as she said as in what was broadly said, but of course the intention behind it is up for debate and it didn’t strike me as malicious or pointed.
I just wish Nancy had delivered a blistering speech to Barfise preferably ending in “Oh and by the way George Michael called and he wants his earring back!”
His behaviour was rotten, and his ego truly out of control. I have no idea why he would go on a programme that seeks to match people based on inner beauty and compatibility given he is so hung up on physical appearance.
He was looking for excuses to say no and not look the bad guy so he threw Nancy under the bus with his family with the whole abortion chat (his sister’s reaction was bizarre) - there is no way you would bring that up as a topic of conversation for the first time your fiancée met your family full stop, let alone if you knew they’d feel strongly about it and you wanted them to like her and support the marriage.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Alexa but I loved what she said about not understanding hooking up with another woman so quickly as a way of ‘coping’. Clearly Barf hopes for some media career off the back of LIB and the ability to meet loads of ‘smoke shows’ - hopefully if they’ve seen the show they’ll know to stay clear because clearly he’ll never love anyone as much as he loves himself.

So glad there's a thread for this! I have so much I want to say about this reunion so far.
Coleen looks like absolutely terrified. She practically started having a panic attack when they mentioned the pool party conversation. She looked frightened the entire time. When they asked how the relationship was going she 100% put on a fake smile. That relationship is not all it seems to me. I think he's got the potential to be emotionally abusive to her. He never let her speak.
I worry about Cole's wellbeing, i dont agree with some of his comments to Zanab (I'm not a fan of her either). However, he looks dead behind the eyes, he looks so tired and detached from the world even in some of the episodes he looked so drained.

As to C and Z - both are right, both are wrong. I don't think you can come up with a definite conclusion of who is "better" because they are both ill suited for each other and it shows. But apart or matched with a suitable person they are both amazing people.

It honestly made me so uncomfortable watching them one by one by one tear cole apart and make lies. The thing about girls being at their bachelor party made me question a few things. Not one of the men jumped up to his defense when he said there were no girls at the party, baptise looked so sheepish and it was only after Z chipping away at him was it then Matt, through gritted teeth, came out and said no girls were there but, I got ubered home and then the rest of them jumped on that. Makes me wonder whether there was girls there and they all had a part to play in it but, didn't want to speak up and associate themselves with it so stayed silent and let Cole take the brunt.
They broke Cole down to tears, snot and all and not one person reassured him, not even a pat on the back or a don't beat yourself up, yet, Nancy shed a tear and it was all aboard the support boat. Only moments before were the men saying they were grateful for the honest, open conversations they could have as males and then one breaks down clearly a broken man who is apologising for hurting a woman who lied on TV and humilated him in front of his freinds and they just say nothing. The wedding was bad enough to have your mates clap at his humiliation and storm out when He doesnt have his family there for support was an uncomfortable watch

So I am halfway through the reunion…I don’t understand why Cole has been made the villain in all this? Yes, he is immature, yes he is certainly ignorant and flippant towards personality disorders (the bi-polar comment) and yes, he was in the wrong with the Colleen stuff. But, Zanib also constantly picked him a part, like all the time. He couldn’t do a thing right for her. Plus, after the Colleen thing, he did nothing but tell her how beautiful she was, but Zanib never reciprocated. She was just as toxic, possibly more, in my opinion. She clearly carries a lot of trauma (not at all surprising), but this show is not therapy (
Matt), and casting directors should be ensuring contestants are mentally well or offer counselling throughout).
HOW did Bartiste get off so lightly. He was awful. AWFUL. He deserved more of a grilling.

That actually makes me feel even worse for him. Zanab was strengthened by the support in room for her, I do wonder if she would have gone on such a rant if the audience hadn't been so heavily weighted in her favour.
The round of applause was just gross.
I've woken up today feeling just as sad for him as I did yesterday. When the reunion ep started I actually thought to myself 'wow Cole looks rough' and then watching him slowly unravel was so uncomfortable.

I think that she genuinely did stop eating and that was prompted by what she felt were digs by him, so I’m not sure it’s fair to say that she was lying. She may have misinterpreted what he meant but her truth is that he belittled her. His truth is that he didn’t think he’d done that and would never have meant to.
Normally men don’t want to drop their friends in it so they try and say nothing. The fact they reacted that way made me think that perhaps there were girls there.
Also - his family chose not to go to the wedding so it’s hardly her fault they weren’t there to support him. Given his previous marriage lasted 4 months perhaps they felt he had form for making poor decisions?

Cole did say to Zanab on the beach "you're fattening yourself up". Albeit, he said to her first, "you're fattening me up"
While I think he may have been joking (and being immature), I can see why it would make Zanab insecure and want to lose weight. Especially after the collection of events: Colleen being more attractive, zanab being only 9/10, the lily comment, his family not meeting her... perceived rejection after rejection would make anyone insecure

The only detail that makes me abstain from being 100% #teamCole is that he said that Zanab was lying about the girl thing... But after he was all tears and apologizing to her... there is no logic that he would do that if he was really innocent. A truly innocent person would have call her BS and leave the room maybe??

Plus if we are going to make a reach and reference that beach scene - said he himself was fattening up, he said nothing in relation to Zay. Let’s get real now. Cmon if we are gonna call out the men bs we got to call out the girls bs too. It’s dangerous to let things slide just because it’s coming from a cast member we like.
I still do not understand how everyone praised Barqueef for “being brutally honest” but the proceeded to drag Cole for 20mins for doing the same thing. They both are trash. Barqueef even more so as he shagged someone else the next damn week.
