Lost

I've rewatched it so many times. I got up stupid o'clock to watch the last one aswell.

I'm not a huge fan of the last season, felt a little thrown together for me. I did love the ending.
I did as well, wasn't it on at 3am or something to be shown the same time as the US to avoid spoilers.

Because, everything that happened on the Island was real.
From what I remember the last season flitted between the island "real life" and the after life

It did, people think, they died in the plane crash.

I understand the ending a bit more now, but just found it confusing in the ‘flash sideways’ - I read it was showing their afterlife they created to find each other. I just found that a lot to get my head around!

Did you realise, the time travel was foreshadowed by in season 2?

I think it was around 5am/6am as I had a 3yr old and a 2yr old at the time, and was hoping they would stay asleep the whole time 😂

I think a lot of people mistakenly thought they'd been dead the whole time and were annoyed because this had been a major theory early on.

I also think ANY connection to the afterlife was not going to go down too well, as viewers had already theorised about it and the notion dismissed by writers.

So yeah, even though they weren't dead the whole time, any reveal of an afterlife being involved was going to go down like a lead balloon.

First time watching it and wanted to see what the hype was about. I love it!! I’ve binged it and I’ve nearly finished Series 5. I don’t want any spoilers but has anyone else watched?

side note - Sawyer is hot!!
My absolute fave comfort show! Rewatched so many times😭

The ending i just realised recently is similar to the ending of titanic where rose dies and ends up back on the titanic with young Jack and everyone else. Not purgatory just a place for them to reunite. I loved the ending🥰

I remember it was the first big TV series event of the 00's and paved the way for American shows to start dominating again. Sky One aired the finale USA time

Unfortunately it suffered bad from the writers strikes at the time. I bet they'd love another shot to get it right.

I forgot all about this programme! I think when it came out originally in the UK the first two seasons were on channel 4 which I watched then it moved to SKY for the rest of the show so I never saw the rest then over time forgotten about it. I might rewatch if on amazon or netflix.

OMG I absolutely loved the Lost series! 6 series I think?
What a throw back. Must have been 2005/6/7 in the UK?

Adored Josh Holloway as Sawyer! 🤤
Also loved Hurley (Jorge Garcia)
And Kate!! (Evangeline Lilly)
And Jack! (Matthew Fox)
And Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez)

I really must re-watch it. I can hardly remember it all. But I do remember thinking it got confusing at the end.

Yeah, it was like the ultimate binge-worthy series before binging was a thing. They also utilised the internet really well with fan forums and podcasts before social media was really a thing also. I used to visit the official fan forum and one of the script assistants used to answer questions on there all the time. Some of the cast used to pop in now and again, too.

I think they eventually just wrote themselves into a corner, though. These days, it probably would be much more condensed. Like 4 seasons at no more than 13 eps per season.
