I watched Loose Women’s Jamal anniversary tribute on YouTube earlier.

This is something I’ve been thinking for a while but, with all the talk of “Jamal’s legacy” of how he created a digital platform for young musicians and so on, there seems to be something massive that’s left unsaid. Surely Jamal’s real legacy could (and should?) be that the use of unregulated causal drugs can lead the most healthy of people to an untimely death?

It just seems like his cause of death is a massive elephant in the room. This isn’t a criticism of Jamal, Brenda or the family. But so much more good could come out of this awful situation if they put out that message. Watching that segment, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Brenda’s son had died in a freak car accident or of cancer, rather than something that millions of other people could avoid if provided with more information.

I don’t know why but bringing this up all feels a bit…

Yes I agree. Are they missing that big out of everything?

Perhaps she will in time. I wonder if she just wants to focus on the positive and his actions of taking recreational drugs which killed him is too painful for her or she doesn't want that to shadow all the good he did. I'm not saying I disagree with you, you raise a very valid point, but I guess she has her reasons.

It feels like they are making him sound like a Saint when clearly he wasn't.
I'm sure it's very hard for her to think about but we all have flaws and to keep pretending he didn't makes it worse.
Agreed. He used recreational drugs and as a result, he died. It's a sad loss of life for him, for Brenda and her daughter Tanesha. But, many people have died this way and don't get treated like a saint.

They just showed the LW body confidence photo all in leggings and sleeveless tops except for G. Hunniford. She should not have been wearing a jacket if she is that confident, makes a bit of a mockery of the message they are trying to give out.
To be fair I think she's there as the token octogenarian. That said though, she looks fantastic and there's not many women her age would actually be in leggings and sports wear where the others featured would. Gloria is always very dressed up, it's a generational thing. You'd never see her dressed down and casual.

Carol’s face looks so painful. Good for her still going on the show. For those who haven’t seen it, Carol’s face is bright red and angry looking. She said it looks like she has had a cosmetic procedure but she says she hasn’t, just woke up like it. So she is on, with red face, no make up.

I tuned in about half way through and wondered what had happened. I just (wrongly) assumed a chemical peel or something. Fair play to her for going on anyway.
