Ruth said in an article recently that her mother usually spends Sunday with them when she is well enough as she recently had a fall. Yes she has dementia and Ruth said she felt guilty that her mother was in a home but feels it is the best for her as she gets very good care. When you have the money they have she can have the best and not have to accept any old care home that some people have to.
I would also have a house keeper if I lived in a house like they do and earned that kind of money.

It does look like a very nice care home, the sort where residents are given First Class treatment. I don't think Ruth wanted it to be public knowledge but Nadia Sawalha mentioned it on her YouTube vlog.

I can understand why, people judge and it's not anyone's business. Trust Nadia to blab. Being in a lovely care home could be the best thing for her mum. Ruth and Eammon are probably out a lot, so even if she had carers in her own home, life might be more enjoyable for her mum at the care home with other people. My grandmother had a very sociable time at a care home and she had dementia. It wasn't in this country but the same principle applies. On the other hand my other grandparents refused to go into a home and we had carers there a lot but not round the clock. It became so hard for them to look after their home too. Carers can't do everything. Lots falls on the family, who have busy and stressful lives themselves. It's a huge worry that they'll be ok, but they have constant care in a home.

I think it depends on the carehome. State carehomes usually leave paitents to be forgotten, or worse. It is usually low paid and disinterested, hard faced staff. There are no personal touches and the quality of life is poor.

However with dementia, a care home is sometimes the only choice for their safety, can't have them left unattended, where they could wander the streets and come to harm.

It looks as though Ruth has got her mother in to a private home. Those kind of homes offer great care and do great activities, such as painting, play games, crafts even discos and the quality of the rooms is very high. Looking at some of the prices of specialist private dementia homes around Surrey, it can be upwards of £2,800 a month. I suppose Ruth is paying for that all on her own, with her sister having passed away.

She does often visit and her mother seems to remember the little black dog she has, Maggie. They seem to have a very close relationship. Eamonn's mother died last week, so that must have reinforced the importance of family.

Indeed. I didn't specify that my grandmother was in a good, private care home which is what Ruth's mum will be in, but you're right that for the person's own safety, relatives sometimes have no choice but to put them into a home which may not be of a good standard. It's a highly emotive subject.

Charlene is going to be hanging on the Coat Tails of the Jungle for months now. 🙄 Her Instagram full of happy jungle family stuff, had a blast of a holiday too by the looks of it.
To be fair it does look like they've all got on really well which is nice but I can't wait to see how her 'professional ethics' as a journalist stand since MH came third.

And after they both came out lots of photos of her hugging him. Journalist?

Yes, considering she posted a photo of her and Matt arm in arm.
