I get the feeling LW is working on and would love Kelsey Parker too. Could be wrong but I do get that feeling.

I found the gushing embarrassing. Charlene saying what an honour it is etc. I like Isla F but it was OTT.

Christine is hard to feel strongly about either way; she's pleasant and competent and that's about it. I don't find her particularly fake.
 
Colleen such a hypocrite.

She has gone plant based. How do we know? It’s that old joke, how do you know if someone is a vegan, they will soon tell you. So she is like a lot of quitters or adopters, they start to dictate in that mildly zealous way.

On the discussion about the protesters pouring the milk or throwing soup at Van Gogh painting, she thinks we need to hear what they say. It is their way of getting the message across, all very conciliatory towards the protesters, and then she went plant based mainly for health reasons, and then it became for animal welfare.

However last week on the discussion about smoking she was defensive about her smoking habit then visibly annoyed. She also mentioned a packet of cigarettes cost her 15 quid up north, 20 quid in London. Smoking is one of the worse things you can do for your health. Plus animals like beagles were forced to smoke to test out her fags. So Colleen, get down off that very high horse and address your own habits. Put that money you would have spent on your habit into the coffers of animal welfare charities.

BTW, nothing against vegans, I am leaning more towards vegetarianism these days myself. It’s just her holier than thou attitude. I can’t help thinking she is a secret Pam in Gavin and Stacy, telling everybody they don’t eat meat but snaffling down a sausage at any opportune moment.

Edit to add…I find Adjoa Andoh mesmerising. Something about her. She is so striking to look at, as well as a good actress.

I thought that about Adjoa, I had never seen her as I hate period dramas but I loved her reply about "I don't feel this is historically accurate it is what historians have said" (paraphrasing ofc) she seems very intelligent and articulate . And Colleen 😑 people are facing a cost of living crisis, cigarettes and their prices... most of us are much more worried about food and heating bills
 
Whenever Linda talks about her husband these days it appears that she is really unhappy and lonely. She said it again today when she said how much she misses “her kids”. She said Mark is always out or working and she is always working or away. Sounds to me like they are living separate lives.
Also, the friend that Colleen said is really rude to restaurant staff I think is Brenda. Colleen has said this before in front of Brenda when they were discussing being out together and how aggressive Brenda can be if anyone comes up to them and tries to talk to them.

The concept of looking at Colleen for health inspiration is somewhat mind boggling. She is hardly an advert for veganism but I can well imagine the low-level preaching about it. I've now got an image in my head of her shoving bacon butties down her throat on the sly...

I haven't seen a full episode in ages so it's good to come on here and see what's been going on.
 
I've got to agree with the comments on Colleen, the protests and veganism. The protests with vandalism are unacceptable, full stop. Personally I feel it weakens any argument for a cause to be noticed and I disengage.
Some of these recent acts should never be defended and we've gone soft in this country for fear of upsetting someone by taking action on an act of wilful damage or speaking out at our disgust at the causes me as of protest and free speech.

Then her 'I went vegan initially for health reasons'...... So why do you still smoke so heavily Colleen? Care about your body and the effect on others SO much don't you? I get she loves animals, that is in no doubt and yes, animal cruelty is unacceptable but live your life and morals through every part of it, not just in your diet.
She cannot 'dictate' and push a message about animal cruelty yet not accept others opinion about smoking only episodes before.

Oh and Linda is looking increasingly zoned out and well out of her depth in every episode, even worse when they place her on the end. She has NOTHING of value to contribute. She's reached the end of the line.
 
Janet is a hypocrite. She said on last Tuesday that she doesn't agree with the woman being shunned at the restaurant for wearing trainers but she has said in the past that she didn't like a man arriving at a business meeting without wearing a tie when she was a journalism boss.
 
I agree linda looks badly out og her depth when they talk about the economy.

She couldn’t cope before and she can’t cope now (or naaasa as she likes to say).

She is incredibly thick and unaware of what’s going on around her. I’m also sick of hearing about her unrelatable kids by their first names. The kind thing would be to let her go now.
 
Linda only seems to care if someone is from or used to live near her in Lewisham

She was talking yesterday about wanting Boris back as PM and Liz resigning and her only reason seems to be that Boris used to live near her in Lewisham and she’s met him a few times whereas before Liz got the PM job she’d never heard of her

Islington not Lewisham. She’s always been a north London gal. I used to see her a lot when I worked somewhere that had an office near the Angel Islington. In fairness, she was bloody friendly to everyone, always stopping for a chat. What you see on tv is what you get in real life. However, she is totally not suited to LW.

Apologies Islington. I’m in no doubt that she’s one of those people who’ll always happily chat to anyone and will have a friendly hello for you but she’s totally out of her depth on this show as you say

I always thought the over exadurated cockney accent and working claaaaahhss demeanour was a pretence. She has spent all of her adult life in showbiz, yet goes on as though she worked the Smithfield Market until she was 30. I am not saying she hasn't worked hard for her money, but it is a different world

It isn’t. She really is that common sounding. She and her family (sisters etc) are well known in that area.

Her Wikipedia says she has lived in Islington all of her life but I read an interview that said she lived in Barnsley up in Yorkshire at one point.
