Talking about breaking covid rules, Kelle immediately referenced being black. She took her kids somewhere during first lockdown (allowable under rules) but said she took all sorts of paperwork with her so if she was stopped she could prove it was valid. She said being black and having bikes on the car, likely to be stopped. She shoehorns race into everything she says. Middle aged black women are not on police’s radar, but anyone moving around during the first lockdown was, whatever your skin colour.

In other news, Katie Piper would be an excellent MP. She could stand for the Common Sense Party.

i wonder how many incidents of racial discrimination she has actually faced? She is always fighting other peoples perceived issues. She survived a pop band and as an actor so clearly she has done well.

why is she so bitter and angry?
 
Jane anchored again?? I guess Christine and Charlene could have the week off because of Easter holidays but what about the others?

Also what’s happening with Denise’s voice/cough the last 3 days? Doesn’t sound like a cold
 
Suspect Kaye will be back on Thursday / Friday,
Ruth seems to do sporadic weeks on LW now, maybe to trim down on her reported earnings lol

Ruth probably has a nice private pension fund lined up. Any work she does now is just to keep her ticking over. A nice lady and also hard working, she deserves to enjoy her wealth.

I don't think Brenda will be coming back. I think we would have heard by now of a return date or atleast a check in with her. It's understandable. I hope she can find a way of moving forward with her life. I can't find any more information on Jamal's cause of death other than it was a heart attack. I have kept quiet for a while as it seemed disrespectful to discuss it so soon after, but now I am wondering if Jamal had taken something at his DJ performance that triggered his heart attack. People in the entertainment industry are often asosciated with things such as cocaine which is known to have a dangerous impact on the heart. If he did take something, he absolutely didn't deserve what happened and his death was a great shame. I don't mean to be disrespectful.

Kaye was still in Spain yesterday and Ruth said she was on holiday for this week.

Was reading Ruth's Insta earlier and she has shared some news about Brenda setting up a Trust for Jamal. It is quite long so not going to quote it but is there if you want to read it.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ yeah, the constant 'because I'm black' repetition is so boring. She's looks really downtrodden and probably lives in a dumpster.

Being black as not held her back has it? I have no doubt she has faced racism, but she plays the perpetual victim when the reality is she is wealthy and has a interesting and creatively rewarding career. Something most people don’t have. She sees herself as a spiritual sort of person, perhaps she can start practicing gratitude.

it’s like Lenny Henry. He goes on about racism, but again being black has not held him back, in fact it has propelled him forward. He is mediocre at everything. But he has a knighthood. How many comedians have been given a knighthood? Not many. So again, what is he whinging about?

Spot on ... very good point. I get mad, because when I walk about my town I see so many young white homeless guys, who don't have a hope in hell of any help. Meanwhile, the local hotel is full of asylum seekers who are getting three meals a day and have every comfort but still complain about the food.

This for Charlene as well. The way they both go on about it you would think they have been refused any sort of career because they are black. Yet there they are on prime time tv earning a huge amount of money....for doing very little except moan about discrimination & racism 🤯

I have nothing against them raising it where it is warranted, but they squeeze it in on most subjects. Denise also shoves in anti lockdown messages into every conversation, that’s tedious too. They have to bring their experiences to the table but some are abusing their national platform to push their own agendas, and if the opportunity isn’t there, they will push it in anyway.

It certainly hasn't held them back. Most people couldn't care less about colour, it's the 'poor me' thing, and anything bad happens and it's because I'm black.

Speaking of uber right wing, Carol McGiffin is in France (think she mainly lives there now) and she has put a picture up on Instagram of Dan Wooten (🤮) and her and her husband having a meal with them there. She makes me feel increasingly uncomfortable on screen. I get vibes off of her. You can tell a person by the company they keep and he is vile.
