Did Charlene imply that Linda is a billionaire? Linda seemed very passionate about defending her working class status. For once, I wish Janet was on there, as she likes to think of herself as upper class but has kept a working class accent, despite the double barrelled name that she desperately wanted.

I've tried to keep quiet on Kelle in that episode but I can't hold it in any longer. Kelle and Coleen both defended Will. I would have like to have known if they were in Jada's situation, would they have gotten their partners to smack the person on stage. It is starting to look like Chris Rock didn't know about Jada's medical condition and it makes me feel very sorry for him, being hit on stage but having to stay composed and professional, as he was hosting the show, I'd have been flipping my lid! Chris should get an award for his resilience despite what he faced, with no support from security of LAPD! Back to Loose Women, Kelle was very rude to Ruth when Ruth was explaining that the William & Kate tour pictures were taken from a fence as the fence was to keep the children safe, it was spur of the moment and W&K actually went to interact with the young fans instead of just waving from a distance. Kelle shut Ruth off then, saying it can be explained away in many ways, implying that W&K Of Cambridge were offensive and Ruth was making excuses for them. Kelle seemed very dissatisfied with the tour in general. She implied it should have been done differently but didn't actually say what the objective of the tour should be! What did she want from William and Kate? She did say that they should have apologised for the slave trade connected to the monarchy. I do think the monarchy owe an apology, yes. However W&K should apologise on behalf of the monarchy. They should not apologise personally or on any other basis, as they have never been found to be slave owners.i get the feeling Kelle wanted them to apologise for it because they are white and that is wrong and actually racist. W&K have never kept slaves, why should they make a *personal apology because of what their ancestors did? To reiterate,mthey should apologise on behalf of the monarchy but not apologise as the individual people they are. Kelle does not connect well with any of the Loose Women, she always seems very ditached. She also has a weird accent now she lives in Liverpool, which is strange, as she has only lived there three years and spent most of her adult life living in Essex & the home counties before that.

No Kelle fan but on this occasion she was right to be dissatisfied with the tour. I really like Ruth but she was very dismissive on this occasion and seemed to want to stick to the party line rather than hear any other point of view.
While I generally don’t like Kelle’s attitude towards race, sometimes she makes good points - she just doesn’t articulate them well and gets a little unprofessional.
The right wing press slant is that the objections to the tour were mostly to do with slavery and the need to apologise. What most people objected to was the colonial cosplay. The fence picture may have been manipulated and set up but plenty of other aspects of the tour weren’t. Really inappropriate and offensive.
I know they are loved on this site but the more I see of Will and Kate the less I like. And no I am not a Meghan fan.
 
Interesting that Charlene is so dismissive of people's feelings towards class.

Charlene was privately educated, so knows she can't play the working class card. So she feels the need to dictate to others that they're not working class either.

She's unable to admit she holds any sort of privilege over others.

I'm working class. I was brought up on a council estate, went to a state school, my parents worked in factories and supermarkets and didn't earn much. But they are married and manage their finances so we're generally comfortable.

I stuck in at school, went to uni and have a sort of professional job. But I'm still working class. I haven't benefited from the opportunities presented to my peers who were privately educated, or my colleagues who were raised in big houses in affluent areas.

She's so keen to bring race into everything, but immediately dismisses class.

What do you think they should have done differently? Ignore those countries and never visit? Not go down to speak to the public? Apologise on behalf of every one of their ancestors?

Again, this is not about apologising - the past is the past. It’s about the general attitude on display. No problem with visiting just the whole TONE was wrong on many levels and very outdated. But of course never W and K’s fault! They have advisors but some decisions must come down to them.

I really don’t like the relationship they have with the media. I know they need them to an extent but Dan Wootton?!

Never thought I’d say it but I prefer Charles to William.

As for Kelle and Charlene, I think they could both be very manipulative!

I do think the momarchy owe an apology for the slave ownership connected to the british empire. My problem is Kellé wanted William to apologise personally... The truth is, William, personally has not been involved in the Slave issue. It would be great if a Royal representative apologised but it should be on behalf of the Monarchy's history, nothing personal. It would be an abomination to hold someome to account personally for what their anscestors did.

With regards to your comments around the Royal tour, it seems like a typical Royal tour to me. Royals travel along steeets as people watch. Only Diana really got her nails stuck in. I've not much interest in the Monarchy, but that is their typical way of doing tours, nothing to do with race. See Harry & Meghan in Bristol meeting fans who are behind a fence.

You could be right however when they did the “what’s coming up on today’s Loose Women” at about 12ish during This Morning and they said Patrick Duffy was coming up who was stood there with his partner, it then cut back to Vernon who got excited and said I can’t believe Bobby Ewing is here and they then went back to the LW studio again with Patrick & his partner

That doesn’t prove it was live but thought them going straight back to LW to where Patrick was stood seemed to show they were live rather than it being pre-recorded
