She was tried out for Loose Women before. She was dreadful. I was surprised, with her broadcasting background, how awful she was.

Oh please no. I liked Trisha when she had her show years ago and I had no idea how challenging her life had been until I saw her Piers Morgan interview, she's dealt with a lot. She is na experienced broadcaster/presenter but in recent years she has irritated the hell out of me with angry rants between BLM, Meghan Markle. No way could I tolerate her on Loose Women.

I agree. Serious topics need to be aired but some days it is just a misery fest. I watch for a bit of light relief over lunch, but more and more I switch off. There have been a few shows where they all just had a laugh recently, and it was a joy to watch, it was entertaining. To bring her into the fold would be adding to the misery. Life is difficult enough these days without us having to get bombarded with anger and tension on what is meant to be a light hearted discussion programme. The light touch has gone, it needs to come back. Laughter is unifying and inclusive. All the individual agendas, whether it’s Denise and her covid ranting, Carol and her anti lockdown messages, Charlene and Kelle shoehorning race into any subject and causing a divide. It needs to stop.

I feel I can't comment on racism since I'm not of any ethnic minority in the UK but I genuinely cannot think of a single radio show that Trisha has done where she hasn't brought racism into the equation (even if I haven't listened, the station posts clips on social media). It feels like she's actively going looking for stories just to prove a point, or does she genuinely have so little else to offer as a broadcaster? It feels a tad off to me to cover it every show.

I saw that. The contrast couldn’t have been clearer.

I wonder what Charlene thinks of black women with straight blonde hair. Does she judge them with the same condescension? Do they get labeled as cultural thiefs?

Wear what you like. When you like. There are enough bleeping rules in life without some random dictating what you can and can’t wear.
Straight blonde hair is genetics though….

It's such a shame they axed Kate Thornton. She was a great anchor and had the right charisma for the show. I feel sorry for her, especially as she was brutally axed from X Factor as well. I listen to her podcasts and she has a great rapport with her guests.

She was a guest recently. Didn’t see it, but it might put an idea in their heads to bring her back?

I wish Jane McDonald would come back. Too busy travelling the world!
