I'm rewatching from the beginning and season 3 is just so so good. I keep forgetting all the twists and being shocked all over again. I think Dot saving Kate was a mixture of a few things... He always had a soft spot for her and Kate's words to him really hit home about having no way out / helping put the abusers away. He was struggling with the double life as it was.

We just finished series 3 again last night. Agree it was so good!

I don’t think Kate is dirty but I enjoy planting that seed in other peoples’ minds to mess with them. Would be a great twist though.
