He's got DI epaulettes on in that clip so if he'd posted it before episode two went out we'd know he'd been (sort of) promoted before it aired. What does he mean epaulettes spoiler?

I’m really struggling with getting enthusiastic about series 6. I agree that after series 3 it wasn’t as good (Dot’s escape was iconic to me! So good!) but I feel like I was trudging along with series 4 and series 5. I didn’t like that balaclava man was some random guy we hadn’t met before and it was glossed over when Ted shot him. I was expecting a bigger reveal. Also the morse code but they seemingly just tacked onto the end of series 5 confuses me, I’ve looked at it at every angle but I have no idea how Kate managed to work out that Dot communicated 4 dots, each dot is a caddy, H is a codename for the group because it’s 4 dots in morse code. To me it feels a bit convoluted. I read online that series 6 was much better but I’m struggling with the same enthusiasm I had for the first 3 series. After series 3 it wasn’t as good. S3 I feel was sublime tv
I live in Belfast and this is totally me.... keep trying to work out where places areI think its still pretending to be a midlands based police force though , when it all first started the main ac12 building was on Broad Street in an old bank in Birmingham, I think it was the idea of more funding given to film in Belfast that made them move
I prefer it to be in Belfast as knowing Birmingham from living there all I did in series 1 is say ooh that's filmed in the old fire station ooh that's filmed on such and such a road , it became harder to keep up trying to work out where it was filmed and the plot
Sorry, who are you meaning isn't Ryan's sister? You're right about his mum and where they lived.I don’t think they are brother and sister .... wasn’t Ryan’s mum some druggie waster who lived on the estate they called “ the bog “ ?

I would have to look at it all again but the Dot 'morse code' thing was laughably silly. From what I remember the body cam footage at the end of Series 5 showing the hand movement did not match up with the original body cam footage of Dot dying. His hand was completely out of shot.I’m really struggling with getting enthusiastic about series 6. I agree that after series 3 it wasn’t as good (Dot’s escape was iconic to me! He did it as a final act of redemption. I don’t think Kate is part of the OCG or shady. If she was she wouldn’t have took his dying declaration and named the peadophile ringI still find Kate very shady and the least explored character . She has done some questionable things ...the affair with Gina Akers husband / the suspicious phone call prior to Ginas death / blowing her cover multiple times / lying to Steve /. Keeping stuff to herself / the questionable home life. Why has she never been interrogated ? I’m looking forward to that if it happens !!
Another thing that’s bothered me ....if Dot knew she was on his case with a gun at the end of season 3 why did he take a bullet for her ? That always stuck with me , why would he protect her ? Was it just his normal instinct to save someone or was it cause he knew she was part of it and had to carry on ....It just seemed odd that he’s in fear of his life being heavily pursued by Kate and the police and then jumps in front the bullet.
All we know from old line of duty’s that the main lead from each series always ends up dead! Well except roz
