I enjoyed s5 purely for it being more Hastings focused than other ones, his 'throw the entire laptop away' was 👌🏾😂 I'll be interested to see the filming of it in respect to covid etc, plus Martin apparently had to go through some intense weight loss to fit back into his vests! (completely relatable, fortunately no one can see me on TV though ha)

I don't think Kate is senior enough to pull all those strings. I'm still not convinced it isn't Hastings, but then it would be tit if they went through all the drama of S5 only to turn around and say "gotcha! it really was him after all!" I've seen worse plot twists though...

It could explain the sub story of why she never seems to be home - of course cops and inspectors work long hours, but the way they keep throwing that storyline in makes me think there's something more, and not just that period of time when she was seeing what's his name.

I think she’s the only one who it could be who would make a real impact, I feel like a new person wouldn’t be as shocking. And she is a specialist at undercover work.
It is suspicious too that Kate’s maiden name was Donnelly - perhaps a link to Northern Ireland like a lot of the characters in the show. Line of duty wiki says she was born to Mrs R.Donnelly and an unnamed father which is suspicious.

And her and Steve always call eachother “mate” which makes me think she is overcompensating.
The only thing that makes me wonder if it might not be her the sex trafficking stuff. She would have to be super evil....

Bent coppers, i think that sums up Line of Duty :D if i had no idea what it was about, you would only have to show me clips of Hastings saying Bent Coppers 200 hundred times over the last 6 series :D

I have to record it , i usually miss something first time around and i have to rewatch in the week to make the information stick, especially after 6 series
