Why didn't they pull Chris lomax on forcing Kate signature.... and at the end he was pretty smug looking!...

Will Ted be held to the letter of the law the LETTER

Buckells is not the 4th man he hasn't the brain cells to be a master mind....so many un anwswerd questions.. .

I had to disconnect Alexa last night my 10 year asked her every morning to the wee donkey and I hadn't watched it yet so it wouldn't be ruined

They thought the whole thing had been forged, ie Lomax never signed it either.

I remember aaaages ago someone posting a pic of all the people involved in the gang that attacked Lawrence Christopher and someone said that one of them looked a bit like Aldi Dot. That would maybe explain why we saw him as Darren Hunter was dragged in for questioning. All the charges were dropped and those involved were given anonymity, so it’s not beyond logic that he could be a police officer working under Buckells since we saw how Ryan managed to slip through the cracks.

Bit of a wild theory but fun to think of nonetheless! Could explain the production order if buckells had ordered him to request it from inside.

I don’t feel sorry for Jed, he still has a ratings winner on his CV so will get his stuff commissioned again. The actors did a great job and it was overpromoted.

I have no issue with it being Buckles but there needed to be another layer to work as a series. The actual plot was v thin. If Buckles had revealed himself as more resentful people had underestimated him it would have added something.
they also can’t do a ‘will they, won’t they?’ With Kate and Steve- they’re mates, that’s why we like it.

I don’t think there is a H as such.
Maybe Buckells was linked to the H ref due to his business name being Holt End Holdings, but Tommy Hunter was the main guy.

H stands for Hillside mate . No one knew who the caddy was but they knew it was someone in the Hillside unit

It was almost inevitable that it would be an underwhelming finale. That's pretty much par for the course with BBC drama these days. It's being suggested that Jed Mercurio wanted to make a point about the banality of corruption and that as a society we are not serious about confronting it and that this was a sober and realistic end to the series. And then you have multiple armed OCGs attempting to hijack the prison escort van and being confronted by Arnott armed only with a taser.

Must’ve missed that bit being explained.

I don’t think it was properly explained but I think it was insinuated when they were talking about H and the camera spanned to the front of the Hillside police unit.

They thought the whole thing had been forged, ie Lomax never signed it either.
Yes! The whole production order was fake - maybe the two prison witches created it.

I honestly am fine with that ending, I admit I am a little disappointed that it wasn't more explosive but I dont think the story will end there.

The cast have done an amazing job over the years and I feel bad that they are getting grief on social media right now.

The main 3 are alive and kicking (thank christ) and if there is a season 7 we have some interesting characters that have been introduced to us that will hopefully play a part.

My fave new character has been Chloe, I hope she has a bigger role in any new series.

And his waistcoat!

It confused me as at the end of series 3 when Dot did the H thing, Buckells was working at Polk Ave in series 4, not at the Hill?
I’m going to rewatch and try and make more sense of it!

oh maybe your right. I may have put 2 and 2 together and got 5. I felt thats what was basically insinuated but I could be wrong

I know it’s all some highly intellectual take on the corruption and how the system is broken, but I was gagging for a Season 3 style finale.
This is it. We’ve all lived through the past year, seeing the Goverment’s incompetence, and the media turning a blind eye to Hancock’s, Johnson’s and Cummings’ dodgy dealings and decisions and literally lies which have cost lives. We know tit like this happens in real life, that doesn’t mean we wanted to see it play out in everyone’s favourite tv *drama*. All the people on Twitter acting superior because they think they’ve figured out the higher allegory are annoying me 😅
