The really long run-up to finding out who they were bringing in was like waiting to find out who the guest judge is going to be at judges houses on X-Factor...so exciting... then you see Sinitta come walking out with the palm leaves.

Genuinely was shitting myself during the glass box interview because it was so quiet. I was expecting an ambush and a shoot out. I know they did that when Dot went rogue but that atmosphere sort of had me thinking something similar was going to happen and maybe one of the main three would be hurt?? Idk. It was all very calm and not much excitement for me 😂

I know Ted said about appealing his retirement but it also felt like he hit a nerve with Carmichael and sort of passed the baton onto her?

i want another series just because I love the main three and I love seeing which actor they get as the “guest star” but you could easily pass that off as the final episode ever

It was disappointing but they’ve got to leave us all gagging for the next series...think they want the audience to feel as deflated as Ted etc do so that the takedown of all the remaining bent coppers will be even sweeter

I think it deserves one more series. But that’s it. Something like this could run and run which would in turn would ruin it ( cough greys anatomy cough) I just feel like there’s far too many loose ends or maybe I have hyped it up too much in my head 🤷🏻‍♀️

I noticed that little smirk on his face. I found myself laughing at some things he said during that interview.
 
Not adding anything new but wanted to add how disappointed I was with not just the ending, but the whole narrative structure of this series. It was all over the place. Kate/Jos relationship was random, unearned and disjointed with no pay off. Kate/Steves interactions were all over the place from being distant and hostile to having keys to each others getaway cars and googly eyes in pub at end? Kelly Macdonald was woefully underused generally for such a boring, one dimensional role compared to prev guest actors. TH was reduced to parody level one liners.Why tf was steph involved so much? Why did we waste so much time with the old copper (cant remember his name - ironic) if nothing came of it???

I could PERHAPS see the idea in having Buckells pull a keyzer soze at the end and turn in a really scary, evil performance in the last interview with ac12 as H with the previous acting being a cover but... no? nothing? the same blank faced incompetent?

I understand prev reasoning re institutional corruption and JM making a point but that has never been the remit of LOD before, its always been a bit of entertainment with great writing/acting and twists and turns.

WHAT was that look Aldi Dot gave when they brought in Darren Hunter?! Were they part of the same gang?

and WHO faked Aldi Dot and Kate’s signatures?! It’s still bugging me 😅

I know it’s all some highly intellectual take on the corruption and how the system is broken, but I was gagging for a Season 3 style finale.
