I just wondered why people were suspecting that "H" could mean Hillside, when the H was technically in reference to a particular person's name ie "The 4th Man" (or Woman!)....although I do get the logic as Hillside is an absolute hotbed of corruption after all.

I suppose it could be a thing though, and a clue to a person's identity, rather than a person's initial. At one point I even wondered if he meant something to do with a hospital or even a helipad (I think the OCG used an aerodrome before)....as the letter "H" is used to denote both of those things. I guess that all will become clear soon enough.

I'll laugh if Thurwell goes by the name "Honcho" or "el Hombre", now that he's livin la vida loca over in Spain!

Kate asked Dot for the “name of the most senior officer in the corrupt network”. This WAS thought to be one high-ranking police officer.

The Morse Code retcon made it 4 high-ranking police officers.

I think people aren’t happy with the Morse Code and think it could be a wrong interpretation as it’s so ludicrous and far-fetched.

Haven’t watched it back recently but a friend said it’s more tap tap - pause - tap tap. Not dot dot dot dot - so apparently more like “I” than “H” so the fact it was immediately H or definitely Morse code at all was daft. More like a reflex because he was dying.

Totally agree and it made me think of this 😂

I have noticed Kelly, bless her, has heels on on every scene to try and make the heights more even. Not very practical for a real DCI, I’d wager!

(am only very slightly taller myself so I mean it with a good heart!)

Yeah they did catch Hilton and they concluded he was “top in the police, not amongst the criminals”. He was the ACC so was the most senior ranking officer with a H surname so it makes sense.

However, the interpretation of H somehow morphed from the first initial of a name at the end of S4 to a moniker/codename for a bent copper criminal mastermind before the start of S5. It literally makes no sense.

The interpretation of Dot’s twitchy death fingers as morse code H then further being interpreted by Steve as it meaning there were 4 Dots/caddies a stretch

Or Dot just mocking them with his name

I’m trying to keep my cards close about the ‘4th Man’ but I thought Kate was bent based on 1-5. She’s very calculating which can be for good or bad and the change dying declaration can’t be a production error?! I’m unsure based on her actions in S6 unless the OCG decided Ryan was out of control and had to be got rid.

Poor fella just wants to die in peace and had Kate barking in his face about who the other corrupt people are.

i think Steve was clutching at straws with the whole H/morse code/dot dot dot dot thing. Although there was a police officer in S5 that also referred to H when discussing Courgette going rogue

i think the wording could be in terms of their investigation rather than personal circumstances based on the ten sec trailer posted last week!! or just *the event* in general rather than of a specific person?? based on clips it doesn't make much sense imo
