Dunno just had a feeling cause she's been too friendly with Jo.. and if she is, I dont think Ted knows or Steve.

And if he couldn't do his job at all as he was injured in the line of duty (drink!) he'd be medically retired / pensioned off/ receive a payout. He would have more time to devote to his waistcoat collection...

I think that’s what he said is the point for him. If he tries to stop taking the pain killers he would need to disclose he is still suffering and that he’s not recovered and they would try and pension him off

He didn’t say that he said I don’t know if they told you about Farida Chatri (being arrested). Prior to that Jo had introduced him to Kate as the new PC on the team at the scene of the dead CHIS
 
What a great episode. Jo knows that Kate has guessed about Ryan. I don’t believe a word she says and think she did recruit him to the Hill, who’d check that with Buckells?
I’m still sticking with my theory that Buckells is smarter than we give him credit. He just acts the oaf.
If Kate is undercover at the Hill as most of us are guessing, why keep the secret from Steve?

Ryan is a dirty bent bastard isn’t he! No boundaries whatsoever! I keep wondering if his mum is related to Buckells somehow, she had the same strong Brummie accent didn’t she 🤔

I think Ryan is going to try and kill Kate off, he knows she’s a threat and she’s on to him. Can’t work out this whole angle with Corbett’s wife and Steve yet but whoever posted the lanyard pic above might be onto something there!

And poor Farida at the mercy of the prison officer who did Lindsay Denton over! 😱
 
So I'm wondering about Kate - she's the only one we never really see behind the scenes. We don't really know any of her back story (a little about her son but that's about it). What if she's H and Ted knows - is maybe in on it? I still think last night's episode was setting up her demise - Ryan was just too content, knowing she was sealing her fate with every question.
I have to say (sorry!) I thought the crash scene was pretty OTT and cliché for LOD - I may have done a few of these - 🙄 - something I've never done before! I'll go and sit on the naughty step now.... 😔

I need to watch last nights episode again as my little one woke up during it and I feel I could've missed something...but I'm thinking that when Hastings was on the phone to Buckles he maybe told him info that they thought he was being set up by Jo and that to secure Kate's position in being trusted by Jo that Kate would arrest and take Buckles to AC-12. That way Jo thinks she's in the clear and believes that she can trust Kate....when really they could have her under surveillance? Maybe a bit far fetched but we only heard some of the phone conversation between Hastings and Buckles and if Kate has been working undercover already then Ted would have been given the heads up about the info that Kate was taking to Jo before the arrest.
Could just be my mind running away with itself 🤣

But Steve did find the wad of money so it's touché. Are they not even now? They've both got dirt on the other.
