A BTEC is a qualification you can take in the UK like GCSE’s or similar but which is sometimes seen as being a bit easier (don’t hate me...) than ‘usual’ higher education. It’s like saying he is a Poundland version of Dot / cheaper alternative.
Ah ok, I’ve never heard of it, not sure it’s a thing in Scotland. Thanks for the help. Poundland Dot is a good one 😂

Oooh, you know I had some weird theory about the robbers names being bird related, "chicken licken" is also bird related.

Jed, I've nailed it.

So perhaps this is the last series OR it's the last series with the main three (ushering in the next gen of officers)... that's the "world coming to an end" aspect of chicken licken right?

ETA: I like this theory -

There was still a huge wad of money in the brown envelope though? She said John had had dead 18 months is it? That 50k will soon be burnt through woth mortgage payments, tvs, "cheap as chips" sky packages. Didn't look like she had touched much of that 50k.

And why would a single woman with 2 kids want a sports package? I know that is hugely judgemental, but there has been nothing to suggest she has any interest in the sports.
She remembered which team Steve supported and gave him some banter about it, which suggest she follows football at least. Don’t think Sky Sports really points to a man living there.
As far as the money goes I did wonder how useful it would be having 50k in cash that you can’t bank. Mortgage, bills etc would need to come from her bank account so I guess it could only be used for cash purchases like the weekly shop, birthday/Christmas presents and clothes for the kids etc. I don’t think there would be a big dent in it.

Can’t get past this 😂

I need to watch last nights episode again as my little one woke up during it and I feel I could've missed something...but I'm thinking that when Hastings was on the phone to Buckles he maybe told him info that they thought he was being set up by Jo and that to secure Kate's position in being trusted by Jo that Kate would arrest and take Buckles to AC-12. That way Jo thinks she's in the clear and believes that she can trust Kate....when really they could have her under surveillance? Maybe a bit far fetched but we only heard some of the phone conversation between Hastings and Buckles and if Kate has been working undercover already then Ted would have been given the heads up about the info that Kate was taking to Jo before the arrest.
Could just be my mind running away with itself 🤣

This^ I think the phone call from Ted was to prep Buckells that he was being brought in performatively to make Jo feel the heat was off her.
