I thought asking MPs that question was a bit redundant as they were bound to not say 'no' ... Ed Vaizey seems to be on a lot, I think he likes the limelight ... I bet he'd love a show on TV/Radio. What was the outcome of the discussion? Lot's of umming and errring with no definitive answer would be my guess.

James et al don't quite know what to do with someone so forthright who is ex-Labour and an ex-miner. It's quite amusing to hear them squirm and try not to come across as completely condescending to working-class folk who find his brand of politics quite seductive. He's not my cup of tea but I know if I was in the trenches I'd rather be around someone like '30p Lee' than <enter amusing derogatory nickname for James here>. :cautious: Trump always likes to nickname his enemies doesn't he, maybe James and Trump have more in common that he wishes to admit!

Fair point Maggie.

It was like people having a go about 25p toothbrushes. They've been available for ages. I used to buy them to keep in for emergencies when kids stayed over unexpectedly. Ferrari may have been OTT with the whole 'shouldn't have kids in the first place' thing but there is a lot to be said for proper budgeting.

He actually does have a show on Times Radio on Friday evenings. I just caught the end of it. He replaced Michael Portillo!

Also there is the issue of the behaviour of Jack Monroe. It is detailed on many threads on this site. I previously thought she had been poor and had done some good work on their behalf. But her story seems to be ridden with lies and she seems to have helped herself to funds sent to her by poor people who believe in her.

She could easily turn out to be another Carl Beech moment for James.
 
What's going on with the media obsession with Lee Anderson? OK I understand his views may be controversial and yes he set up that scene door knocking in 2019 but he has not committed any crimes yet he is all the media are talking about repeatedly. This week ex Labour MP Jared O'Mara was jailed for 4 years for snorting our money up his nose yet there is hardly any mention of this anywhere.

Castle just started and Lee Anderson to be discussed yet again. Time to switch off.
