I'm taking that with a big pinch of salt, the shop owner posting about Steve on some random forum, that is, not your post i10gal.
This character allegedly owns a 'pack & post' business, he certainly should not be publicly telling about people's post/parcels.
When I worked for Royal Mail we had to sign The Official Secrets Act.
Steve's trolls are missing him terribly, they'll still be banging on about him years from now, a bit like O'Bingo and Brexit 😁

Steve, bless him, gave too much away about where he lives. It took me 2 minutes to find his home address, I won't need to send my parcel to the chemist !

I caught Charlotte Lynch blathering on about her arrest again today ... I swear it's the best thing that ever happened to her career wise!!

The way she was going on you'd thing she was rounded up and thrown in a Gulag, not been arrested by a jobsworth in Hertfordshire.
I heard that this morning and thought it might be me finding it all bizarre. Ferrari going on as if she was deported and locked up for a decade and Lynch going on about how she had to think long and hard about releasing a video clip of her. It was a couple of hours.

I was genuinely thinking that maybe journalism isn't for you if it was that traumatising. She is a legitimate journalist and she works for one of the biggest media companies around ... what did she think would happen? I take it she's not going off to Ukraine anytime soon.

I have no idea if it is true
Mumsnet is full of fantasist bullshit. Which I'd mark this under as it sounds dodgy and nothing to verify it.

A good journalist should never let the story become about themselves. Very irritating. It's almost as if she wants to become 'a personality', gawd help us all.

Fatty Ferrari really doesn't like Lineker or the BBC does he. LOL. All joking apart, Nick is being really hateful this morning ... the way he talked to the Afghan man was pretty gross (much like Ferrari himself). :cautious:

To paraphrase James O'Brien, calling for Gary Lineker to be disciplined or sacked for comparing you to 1930s Germany doesn't do much to disprove Lineker's point.

Jobby drawing stupid analogies this morning. If Gary Lineker, as somebody who's paid, via the BBC, from the public purse, should not be allowed to express a personal political opinion, then neither should Robert Jenrick MP, who's also paid for by the public. Does he not understand that Jenrick is paid to express political opinions and Lineker paid to comment on fooball? Should be a full house on the Jobby bingo card today.
'Gary Lineker is a good friend.'

What did nick say to the Afghan man?

He clearly didn't expect the holocaust survivor to be on the side of Gary L, which is silly as those things can easily go either side.
I got the impression that most of the callers to Nick, while thinking Lineker wrong to make the comparison, didn't think he should be sacked.

Jenrick claimed that Lineker was "out of step with public opinion"

The Tories are currently polling at 25% so I think it's more likely that it's Jenrick who's out of step.

LOL, you're right. That lady completely blindsided him ... haha, most amusing. Some poor schmuck on the production team will have gotten an earful for that.

Regarding the Afghani guy ... he was making some good points in broken english about his experience and Nick just talked-over him and then cut him off. I just thought it was rude that was all ... just my view.

Ian Payne was extremely annoying this morning. He was having the debate about this new weight loss drug (although not that new as some people are already using it). The first caller was a very articulate man who has been using the drug due to his diabetes and was explaining exactly how it worked for him and the drawbacks. Ian did give him a bit of air time but then seem to just say that he needs to take more calls so cut the guy off. Then he did exactly the same with another couple of callers who had just started to make their points and again he said he needs to get to other callers.

I guess he was trying to fit in as many calls before the news but it does not make good listening and comes across as quite rude.

If you asked Lineker about Jobby it would probably take him a while to remember who he is..

James is massively conflicted here because he got the boot from his holiday cover role on BBC Newsnight because he wanted to express political opinions. That will teach him to try a rather childish tantrum.

I do miss the days of Briengo.

I think irrelevant of his twitter activity many LBC listeners dislike Lineker as he's by far the highest paid at the beeb. And as Abbot says anyone could do his job and the viewers wouldn't care.

Looks like Ian Payne is to cover Steve Allen's slot for the future.

While they haven't confirmed who will cover the overnight show next week. I wonder if Nick Abbot is holding out for more cash 🤑
