I actually enjoyed Ian Payne these last two mornings. Not a fan of his normally but I seemed to stay awake more than listening to the normal "early morning food show" :ROFLMAO:. Interesting debate this morning about the press and social media regarding the Nicola Bulley case although Ian constantly blaming all the Tik Tok sleuths on Netflix 🤐. Just like Ian likes to continually blame Liz Truss for all the interest rate rises.

It was being discussed how difficult it is to censor what people write on social media, however not that difficult as I would imagine if I was to start comments saying for example, Trump vote was rigged, vaccines are killing people then I am sure these posts would be quickly censored. Some of the things I have read and seen on social media re this case are absolutely shocking and people should be utterly ashamed of themselves. A very difficult one when the media are governed by very strict guidelines yet social media is basically a free for all of disturbing images and posts.

Steve tweeted this morning about Paul Easton ...

I saw a clip of Ferrari talking about the kid on the plane by the window seat ... there seems to be so many stories these days about entitled people expecting people to just swap seats on planes to trains to suit their needs. Winds me up.

Now that airlines are charging extra if you want to choose a seat then they should be forced to offer compensation if you're required to change your seat for any reason.

James getting into a terrible pickle regarding fruit and veg and Brexit. Honestly, without Brexit this man would have no show.
James has probably been rattled by the better economic news for the UK this morning. It must be hard work for the LBC staff dropping and blocking any calls to his show that mention that.

It has often been mentioned here and elsewhere that Paul Easton used to publish statistical graphs based on the RAJAR figures. Unfortunately, he gave up doing that sometime ago.

This evening I have learnt that he has died. Sad, I used to keep in touch with him.

Sorry to read that as I was part of the discussions we used to have online about his numbers. RIP Paul.

I was on a flight with my daughter (adult) and we were sitting together with some bloke who was about 70 sitting on the end seat. He sat there bleating about not being able to sit with his wife and how it wasn't fair that me and my daughter got to sit together!! I just responded by saying I organised these seats at the time of booking and paid for it too. He should have done the same thing if he wanted to sit with her.' TBH, if you can't sit apart for a 4 hour flight then you have separation issues. :ROFLMAO:

I caught the end of James today and I'm assuming he was talking Brexit and the NI protocol. I think why people take umbrage (and the piss) with him for going on about Brexit is not that it's not relevant or that we are still feeling the affects of it but that fact that he shoe horns it into nearly every single topic even if it's not relevant. He could be discussing when is the best time of year to plant lawn seed and say he'd say 'Brexit' at least once.

Darren Adam leaving LBC is all a bit mysterious, he had his own website/blog which has gone & no longer on the Twatter either seemingly.

Might have been co-incidental but he was reported to Ofcom and complaints were made to LBC for comments he made calling every Conservative party member 'a certifiable lunatic'. He loved running his mouth off, but that was too much. I'd love it, just love it, if he stropped after being warned by his bosses.

I wondered if it was related to that. The timing seems about right. I could imagine him telling the bosses to stick it if they gave him a warning.

Can't see it being that, I mean Nick Abbot calls people lunatics all the time.
And well...conservative party members did elect Elizabeth Truss as leader after all... 😁

Seems quite mild .compared to Jobby's daily stream of invective against Brexit voters.
