Yes it is like James O'Brien discussing Brexit. Oh hang on.....I don't understand why you would have someone on who would have such obvious bias to discuss a subject like that.

Bit of a worry for me, they just gave a news bulletin and used a journalist who has zero qualifactions to offer expert opinion on the situation in Ukraine. I know this for a fact because I know the person they used.
Surely in some ways that is worse as you are passing off somebody else's view as your own. A type of plagiarism.Would the reporter use a prepared script, produced by somebody else?

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick. My point is the persons area of journalistic expertise is not Ukraine, Russia, or Geopolitics in general. I just wondered why LBC couldn't have found a journalist with some actual knowledge of the subject in question as opposed to a freelancer who just winged an answer. Probably just cheaper. LOL. No biggie.
I do agree, but provided the reporter sounds knowledgeable and is factually correct it doesn't matter who reads it.
I suppose. It's just so incongruous hearing a journalist who ordinarily writes about sex, pornography, and gender issues in The Guardian
James seems to be harking back to his days as a gossip columnist.
Has Jobby managed to link Will Smith and Chris Rock to Brexit this morning?
LOL. Yeah he let that slip (at least to me) last week, that he did that gig. And there I assumed he was an ACTUAL journalist! It's all starting to become clear now. How embarrassing. Actually, he's more bareable talking fluff.
He had you fooled. His journalistic career lasted about 10 minutes. He was a gossip columnist and then wrote for Daily Mail reviewing video games.
He's been with LBC now for about 20 years spouting his opinions.
Geezus. LOL. My journalism career lasted longer than that! (Oh and I didn't have Daddy to help me).
did it have a gossip column?I was just checking his Wki. He apparently wrote some stuff for The Spectator back in the day. This was obviously before he developed 'principles'
did it have a gossip column?
That is a good point as it may explain much of the obsession that James has with Andrew Neil.Maybe if Andrew Neil had offered him full time position all those years ago James wouldn't be so bitter towards him.
