Nick Abbot is out of his depth with this 'serious Sunday' night type show he's been doing for a while now.
2 callers there, 1 of the callers had served in Iraq & tried to correct Nick about something, Abbot talked over him, thanked him and said goodbye, same with the next caller who tried to raise a point about Tony Blair.
Stick to the light hearted stuff, it's raining in glasgow and moo noises Nick.

I like Richard Spurr. I wish they used him more often.

Love the profile pic btw, Steve loved a bit of Brian Sewell ... New Year, new you 🤪

( The Clubhouse make me laugh. Still posting about the clique and such like ... there's no one left for them to argue with! Don't they realise we're all gone ? :ROFLMAO: )
They kept pressing the report button to get rid of so many of us. They must have RSI! Their actions were quite clearly orchestrated and yet as you say they seem to have zero self-awareness.

They are an odd bunch.

I was catching up on a bit of Steve last night and heard him slagging off The Masked Singer and how it's all Z list celebrities ... I bet he's changed his mind seeing as his close personal friend Gloria Hunniford was kicked off it last night
Is Steve that much of a buddy he is allowed to call her ‘Glo’
That’s the name the late Adrian Love called her.
Adrian sadly long gone but it was him who introduced me to LBC, loved his evening phone ins, even all those years ago he’d discuss anything, not a sacred cow in sight.

Steve doesn't think first. Lol
Wouldn't be surprised if he slags off someone else soon and lands himself in hot water again. He cooled off of offending anyone for a while, but a couple months later and he's back doing it again.

I never listened to Adrian Love, I'm a little bit too young for him. (I don't get to say that very often these days  )

I've heard a lot about him though so having a little look on Wiki and saw this:

In the early 1970s, he became station manager at United Biscuits Network, an internal radio station serving the factories of United Biscuits. Due to the lack of commercial radio in the UK at the time, the station became known for breaking new acts. While there he recruited Roger Scott and Graham Dene, with whom he later worked at Capital Radio, and gave Dale Winton and Steve Allen their radio breaks.

I didn't realise he was responsible for giving the world Steve Allen. The United Biscuits Factory Steve used to visit in Liverpool was right next to my junior school.

Thanks for the reminder about Roger Scott who was a great DJ and taken from us far too soon. Even though he was at Capital Radio there is a sort of link to LBC as they were the first 2 legal commercial stations back in the day and I remember them being exciting times.

In other news it was good to hear Nick Ferrari back on LBC earlier...

I was even pleased to hear James O'Brien back !!

It seems like this holiday period has gone on forever.

Last night on 'the other side',, somebody called Mall, dared to criticise another poster. Saying something like, "you may disagree but there is no need to be rude. Reported." Mall has been banned there!

I saw that exchange yesterday. I wondered how long they would last.
I can't believe pauljoanss is still posting. I'd have thought the gang would have dispatched with him long ago.

I was going to say Occy will be next, but I think they enjoy patronising him.
Bit of useless info...if you click on a ds fm's profile 'discussions' includes hitting the report button.
It's not difficult to spot the serial alerters ;)

I also saw it. What a cesspit of a place that thread has become? No exchange of opinions allowed - it's their way or the highway. How democratic is that?

I'm also surprised pauljoanss still can be bothered to post there, let alone hasn't been another poster banned.

Occy is treated like the fool that the bullies love to gang up on and give a good kicking to. Surely it is obvious he possibly has some difficulties, yet he is ridiculed.

I hope those posters are proud of themselves, as I definitely am not.

Thank goodness for the fair moderation here when that thread is allowed it moderate itself, and has done so for far too long.

I had to turn O'Brien off today when he was discussing JK Rowling and whether goblins are anti semitic.

The hand wringing was turned up to 11 today. I couldn't bear it.
He's looking for another bandwagon to jump on and can't make his mind up.
For or against Blair's knighthood?
For or against JK Rowling, a successful lady who speaks her mind?
Desperate not to upset his fanbase & get less likes on twatter.
He's not as clever as he likes to think he is.

I just caught the opening intro and apart from some dog whistling he seems to think he is being funny but about what? A bit like when he was on Have I Got News For You when all he did was laugh.
Anyway time to turn him off.

I've just caught up with Snowdrop's statement #19509 from 10:22 this morning. She has forwarded somebody else's tweet to LBC. I wonder what she thinks they are going to do? Get every presenter to refer to it?

I think she should use her time more wisely by commenting directly to other posters such as "yes", "I agree", "that's right" LOL.
