Lisa Nandy looked terrible too. There seems to be a trend amongst the female cabinet members of wearing dresses too sizes too small. Nandy’s was so tight you could see her navel through it.

The Umbilicus Look..She could do with a bit of levelling up and letting out in the sartorial sense but maybe clothes don't matter when you've just been selected to become Culture Secretary and it's a huge surprise?

I'm not sure if this is indicative of anything but all the election stuff over the past couple of days and I haven't listened to LBC at all apart from an hour of Nick Abott last night. LBC is not my first port of call for major political events. In fact, LBC is not my port of call for anything much these days.

I think because they focus solely on political news it just leads to so much repetition and bores me silly. I just know that we are going to have reverse ferret with the presenters. Ferrari is now going to slag off Labour and it's policies for the next 5 years and James will be defending everything they do. 🤪

Ha. Same. I listened to the first 10 minutes of Election night, but Lewis Goodall and Jon Sopel were far too hyper. Rachel Burden was much better on the BBC, she has a lovely voice and isn't so into the political weeds, having said that Nick Robinson was just as bad as Goodall and Sopel. There seems to be a real industry now in political punditry, there seem to be as many pundits as MPs and the coverage suffers.

It's much like how football punditry suffers nowadays. The presenters/pundits don't really view themselves as broadcasters for the channel they work for anymore, rather 'brands' that they are trying to get social media clicks for ... that results in them more likely to make click-baity, antagonistic, comments in the hope they go 'viral'. That's why I like Rory Stewart ... I doubt he's gone 'viral' EVER. haha ... far too measured and calm.

For those of us wondering whether the Tories being turfed out would cheer up the miserable bastards on the dark side, we have an answer. One is calling a Tory MP cancer sufferer a 'rich old bastard only interested in self preservation', another obsessed with the Daily Mail, Lindsay Hoyle is a 'Tetley Tea Bag' and Farage is still living rent free in their heads. Miserable, nasty, spiteful people

An LBC O'Brien youtube clip came up on my suggestions so I watched it. Jeremy Hunt and Rees Mogg gave the most gracious of speeches wishing the new government well, O'Brien's take on Hunt included the phrase 'for all his weirdness'. Nothing to do with his politics just a nasty comment that emanates from somewhere dark and nasty. Steve Baker detailed some of the threats he's received, all vicious and personal, O'Brien completely ignored. He's poison

I heard Maitliss on Channel 4 say of Liz Truss when she lost: "She's been decapitated". Honestly, why are these liberal lefty elite types who live the life of riley and have no real troubles in life so deeply unpleasant? Just a show a bit of class ffs. It's all perfomative, I get it ... but ugh, it's so off-putting.

The nearest he got to that was going to Pizza Express with his wife after the Coronation 🤣

I really like him too. I watched him on C4's election coverage and he is very measured and doesn't let anything pass. He's only 51 so I wonder if he'll come back into politics at any time? He was going to run for London Mayor at one stage. I wonder if he'd be any good if they let him do a stint on LBC?

So is Yvette (I love refugees) Cooper) as Home Secretary. And with Ed Milliband as Environment Minister we'll have windfarms covering the green belt.

And when the Deputy PM turns up at international conferences, they'll think she's there to empty the bins.

I was listening to Ian Collins on Talk and nearly spat my tea out when he described Angela looking like a character from Aladdin 🤣

Ironically, Jacqui Smith attains political influence rather than Iain

I'm not surprised he's brought back some old hands. I suspect nearly all of the Labour MP's have zero experience in government so a few experienced people dotted about the place is probably a good thing.

It may bugger up Iain's podcasts and work with her though.

The trouble for Sopel is that the issues for Biden mean that the man who humiliated him (Donald Trump) is starting to look a shoo in as US President. So Sopel must be rattled and nervous.

Thus this just looks grimmer and grimmer

Wonder if there'll be anyone going through the podcasts with Dale to unearth anything she's said that would embarrass her ? Or, as usual, does it only apply one way ?

I'm in a quandary ....

I love Midge Ure. Teenage crush and favourite band. I've just seen he's done a Full Disclosure with James O'Brien. I'm not sure my love goes that far.

God, that will be DIRE. These self-indulgent ego-maniaics just don't persuade people to change their political views. Because of their metropolitan, arrogant, elitist persona's they either harden the support for Trump/Farrage or actively turn people off voting for progressive/liberal politicians and/or parties. Just seeing their faces makes me feel bilious. Of course, if they were doing these events for free, at cost, or for charity I wouldn't care. Maybe they are ... I don't know, would be nice to think they are because they don't need the money.

The Independence dream is alive & well according to nipper Salmond, talking to Matthew Wright.
His Alba party lost their deposit in every seat, they got around 0.06% of the vote share.
