I am surprised to see Theo Usherwood is now a regular commentator on TalkTV/Radio, especially on Mike Graham's show. What happened at LBC?
He stood down in April last year for personal reasons, later confirmed that he was taking care of a family member.
He’s been turning up on Times Radio a fair bit too, so sounds like he’s well in with the Times group.

Ian kept playing the opening bars of the Beverley Hills Cop theme. What a flippin' earworm! It's going to plague me for the rest of the day. Aagh!!!! 🤪

Nick Ferrari is again leading out the LBC line by trending on social media (X) this morning.

His interview with Wes Streeting is making the news and to add a nuance some are messaging Jimbo. So presumably unintentionally they are reminding him that even Labour ignore him for interviews.

Unfortunately Ferrari's trending for all the wrong reasons, he was at his tabloid worst this morning.
😬

In social media terms can you trend for the wrong reasons?

As to the issue ( Starmer's taking a break on Friday evenings) I agree with you. Rather than a tabloid hit job I think Starmer should be allowed some down time......

Ferrari still believes anyone working from home should be frog-marched at gun-point into the office and en-route to the office be made to buy a sandwich and a coffee. He also hates zoom, he prefers to shout at staff in person than via a screen. He probably railed against the Gutenberg Press back in the day, calling it 'The Devils Work'. 😬

His attempt to try and smear Starmer over a comment made about trying to make family time on a Friday evening was pathetic. David Cameron made the same point about having a date night with his wife every week and Johnson thought nothing of vanishing for long periods to write yet another book. Thankfully Ferrari is followed by someone who is quick to counter this rubbish, which he did perfectly again today. For all of the hatred aim at O’Brien on here, he exists because we have “journalists” like Ferrari who are happy to do the Tory’s dirty work for them.

'Date Night with Dave' .... Poor Samantha. :ROFLMAO:

Topics like WFH do show how out of touch Ferrari can be. He really has a bee in his bonnet about it and every time I hear him I just think it enforces the fact he knows nothing about it!!

I think it's a sign of things to come for commercial media for a while, Sir Kier is boring ... he's like a German technocrat. There's really nothing for the likes of Nick to get his tabloid teeth into, at least for a while. He'd be wise to retire imo.

Just wait until Sir Keir's lurid past life as a student is revealed in the Sun on Sunday..

He's sensible for presenting as "boring" in my view. Makes it hard to dig the dirt on him with any real gusto.

I think NF’s point was less to do with Starmer’s intention to have down time with the family, but the optics of verbalising it in an interview two days before an election. Nobody is going to switch a vote to Labour upon hearing he’s knocking off at 6 on Friday but it does gives fuel for people to slag him off for being lazy or not understanding the job. I mean, why even say it? Just say you intend to make sure your children still see their dad. Putting times on it is just… stupid.

When Nick leaves LBC, I leave LBC.

Jobby could assume the mantle of Top Dog barking up the Brexit Tree and bemoaning the lack of Tory mince to lambast(e).

Lammy could rejoin the LBC fray after being dumped by Starmer.

Jacob Rees Mogg could be a regular contributor reporting from the depths of the Channel as he pitches in to help construct the British Brick Wall.. funded as a result of Brexit benefits.

Thought I'd tune into JOB's last show under the Tories he's made so much money out of hating, christ it's like a band from the past coming on stage and playing its same old hits to its same old audience. Not going to persuade a single person to change their view, when he got to mentioning 'client
journalists' I switched off (that was about 2 minutes in)
