I can see him trying to launch himself into psychotherapy territory..maybe alongside his wife who appears to be a children's MH campaigner? Her pet subject is something which the Maudsley Hosp has been treating and researching for over 20 years (my daughter was one of their first "candidates") but she seems to think she's unique in her findings.

The Caring Clinic hosted by The O'Briens...Channel 5 at 2245pm. James and Lucy (Jucy) tackle the chasms in MH care left by the Tories after 14 years of disastrous governance and suggest new therapies based on their own life experiences to embrace and include all those struggling and rejected by an uncaring society.
Jucy!! 😂

I think one of their daughters has problems, which is possibly why Lucy is so involved in that particular study.

I wonder if he has a manager or an agent. If so, they don't do much to earn their fee. There are some people who seem happy to appear on anything, from Newsnight to Blankety-Blank. Perhaps he's a bit snobbish about appearing on the more popular shows, but if Krishnan Guru-Murthy can do The Weakest Link and hang on to his status as a serious presenter I don't see why Jobby can't. Perhaps he's never gets asked.

Is that why he interviewed Bryony Gordon for Full Disclosure?
Bryony Gordon is one of the regulars at The Telegraph. She used to be really entertaining back in her misspent twenties/thirties but for the past few years has 'shared' her problems with her readers; weight, alcohol/food/drug addiction, OCD and depression. She must be hell to live with but I'm sure she has helped people with similar problems.

I like Krishnan and he seems like a decent chap. He was fab on Strictly. He has personality and more importantly, even though he has a serious job, he doesn't take himself too seriously. He's done everything from Taskmaster to Child Genius.

James has done University Challenge, Mastermind and Have I Got News For You. He obviously thinks of himself as some sort of pseudo intellectual. He's desperate to be some kind of satirist.

The thing that really irks me about Jimbo is that he makes out he is at one with the working class and understands their issues due to his endless supply of empathy and emotional intelligence. However, this only extends so far and as long as he can still point out that he is intellectually superior to them and also that every caller who wants his understanding grovels and acknowledges his status, thereby fuelling his narcissistic needs for praise and adulation.

💯 It's the grift that keeps griting for the over-educated bone-idle middle-classes. The slightly amusing thing is that James will never be on television to offer is opinion because his face looks like an infected ballbag.
Adrian Chiles isn't really a natural for TV though?
He's one of the worst newscasters ever to live. I'll never forget the day he rolled-up to channel 4 on his first day in a red Ferrari giving it the big'un. bleeping bellend twit.
I've had the "honour" of being in a studio audience of a show hosted by Krishnan on C4. He was so arrogant when he came to meet us all before the show went out live.."Do you know who I am?" territory.

He really wants to be a Cult Leader, doesn't he?

That is a bit of a pivot from Lucy after this.

Great post. Call again. I agree with everything you say. I must say however that James has just about enough self-awareness to know how intellectually moribund he is. He has the horrible mix of being incredibly arrogrant whilst knowing he is essentially a worthless human-being. Couple that with incredible insecurity you have a grade-a needy bleep. He actually leans-in to his priviledge but pulls-back and tries to be 'working class' when it suits. "I once did a week's work experience in a cafe". duck off you useless twit.

I keep saying it but all James is, all these presenters are, they are just filler between the adverts. Sales-people. Commercial radio exists, just like newspapers, for one thing and one thing alone: to make profit for their shareholders and owners. That's it. That's all it is. If it happens to be entertaining well that's a nice little bonus. I swear to god if James was replaced they would get more listeners, I mean I don't listen anymore, but whoever counts the beans at Global are happy to stick when they should really twist.

Is it a coincidence that there is no Catol Vorderman today as the Angela Rayner story blows up?
I can't wait for the :poop: to hit the fan on this one. I wonder how Starmer will react.

What Carol is overlooking, reprehensible though it is, is that stashing your cash offshore is legal. Dodging tax by lying about your circumstances isn't. Imagine the field day the left would be having if it were a Tory MP.

Blimey! LBC is Lammy's third media outing this morning. He's been racing between Sky news, with Trevor Philips, and Laura Kuenssberg on the BBC, then on to Global Towers. I wonder if he has a taxi with the meter running outside the first two.

I think he was on Talk TV too. I didn't hear him but I am sure I heard Peter Cardwell mentioning it.

As the Lamster faces a little trouble let us remind ourselves of his efforts to entertain the nation.

It's not the fact he got pretty easy questions wrong that worries me, it's the fact that he seemed to freeze under pressure. It makes you wonder if he's really the man to engage in potentially high-level negotiations with unfriendly foreign nations and their ministers should the time ever come. Maybe make him the minister for sport and culture or something, it doesn't fill me with great confidence having him as the next Foreign Secretary.

For all Labour's high-minded preaching about diversity and multiculture, without Lammy, Starmer's Cabinet looks very pale. He'll have to keep him on in some capacity.
