James is like a sixth-former on heat this morning. I can't bear it. Getting close to Owen Jones levels of obnoxiousness. Oh for a grown-up political phone-in slot between 10 and 1. I don't even disagree with much of what he says, but his style and schtick is so bleeping jarring.

That is exactly how I feel about James.

Absolutely devastated to hear the news about Steve Wright.

He was the reason I wanted to work at Radio 2 in the first place… and an absolute master of his craft.

I’ll miss you so much, Wrighty x

Steve Wright would be so thrilled at all the wonderful things his listeners have said about him, but he was a shy guy who just got on with the job.

I wonder if Jobby will cover the IVF story. It would make a refreshing change if he dealt with a non-political topic. He used to be rather good at it! Here's a very honest piece he wrote at the time in the Daily Mail.

Wonder how Labour's favourite client journalist is going to spin his way out of the racist cesspit his party has showed itself to be ?

Another 'don't look here, look there' deflection I assume
Even worse for James the UK has had some good economic figures this week. Much more of this and his "how to be right" book will have to be moved to the fiction section.

There is only one way out for someone like James. More name calling and dog whistling....

He's a best selling author now...and a true inspiration for many floundering souls. He's very modest too.

You'd have to be some sort of sadist to read one of his tomes. For James, it's all about mingling in the VIP section of book festivals, a place I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy to end up.

He gleefully commented on a report from Goldman Sachs that the UK economy was 5% smaller than it would have been without Brexit. According to O'Brien GS had no skin in the game and are therefore neutral. Whoops, wrong again

I actually caught this and was amazed O'Brien would some how hold Goldman Sachs up to be the arbiters of troof. They are one of the most vile banking corporations on the planet. Unreal. He's losing the plot, as well as listeners.

I know some people who are just waiting to hear the word Brexit to come alive and re-ignite their outrage. They have broken long standing friendships over their inability to accept a difference of opinion. It's pretty crazy really as no amount of "discussion" will change what the people in charge decide. Same with Jobbymouth.

It's been eight years since the referendum. Eight years! Eight long years carrying a grudge against those who voted for Brexit. What in God's name does eight years of bitterness and bile do to those who will never forgive or forget?
