Like so many 'celebrities' she is deeply insecure. For Carol I personally think it's linked to her father walking-out when she was 9, but that's just my own cod-psychology. :LOL: The craving for constant attention, the attention Daddy never gave her during that most important period. It's pretty tragic really. I guess on the plus side she's not really hurting anyone else. You have to wonder why anyone would voluntarily go under the knife, it seems such an unnecessary risk to take. Is she on today or something, hence the post?
 
I think she's on over the weekend in the afternoon but haven't studied the schedule..
Countdown to the New Year I suppose...

She's on Sat, Sun and Mon. 4-7pm. Thank God Ian's back on in his usual slot on Monday morning, then everything back to normal on Tuesday. Apart from 6-7am when I leave the clock radio on to keep me awake, and the recorded presenters' discussions, I haven't listened to any other LBC since last Friday.

Pretty bad times for me, I'd be quite curious to listen, if only to report back.

I'd be surprised if she didn't get a regular gig. I kind of wonder of it was in the stars after her leaving her BBC Wales show in such a blaze of publicity.

Weekend breakfast will be an interesting one to watch from Jan 6. Will Andrew Castle return? I personally hope so. Will Matthew Wright inherit the shows he's been covering? Or is Carol Vorderman being lined up? Who would be your preference to ease you into the weekend?

Quite a few callers have mentioned Steve Allen to Nick A for his A-Z thing. Nick just acknowledges it and moves on.

Once you are gone from LBC, you are gone. LBC treated James Whale appallingly. He was understandably very angry.

It looks like you have your wish, Neroli. Paul Brand is listed next weekend for Saturday breakfast. Sadly it's looking less likely that Andrew Castle is returning.

I heard a caller the other night to the awful Oli Dugmore come right out and ask what happened to Steve Allen. A little mumble, quick change of subject and the caller was cut off 😄
