He's a great Crystal Palace fan and used to do the pre-match DJ-ing. Helped the club out at a very precarious financial time. Very sorry to hear that he has Parkinson's. A radio legend like so many others from that era which I remember well

I doubt if Jobbie went on the Rejoin March on Saturday. I felt quite nostalgic looking at the pictures online (none of the MM apart from the Independent featured it) - Femi, Steve Bray, Gina Miller, a crowd of elderly folk draped in EU flags. Looked more like hundreds than the reported thousands.
I think he said that he would have loved to have taken part but that he had other commitments ( finalising negotiations with Rent-a-Crowd for his book tour). Another time then Jimbo

Twitter-spat between Laurence Fox and Ava Santina, Jobbie' ex-producer. She is now a 'political correspondent' and occasionally turns up on the telly, spouting her views! More than can be said for her ex-boss! 😉

I wonder if all the lefties would be so outraged if LF 's comment had been about Julia
H-B or Rachel.Johnson or any female Tory MPs.

Of course not. A bit like when Jess Phillips said nothing when of her female colleagues with whom she disagreed with got badly heckled in parliament by a load of men. It's the hypocrisy that pisses people off ...

I make it my life's mission to avoid any of O'Briens's output However I couldn't resist a quick peek of his twitter last night to see how much he'd soiled himself over Fox' and GB News.

Man of the people on the bus home to his gated enclave. What a bleep.

James O'Brien on X: "It strikes me, on the late bus home, that younger viewers might struggle to describe a British ‘Conservatism’ that differs from the bile & bigotry broadcast by @afneil’s GBeebies brainchild. It’s surely very important that people start trying to do so asap." / X (twitter.com)

Presumably he justifies the bile and bigotry he pumps out as freedom of speech! I've just watched the discussion with Piers Morgan about male suicide, which provoked the row, and Ava Santini/Evans really is a nasty, rather stupid piece of work. She wouldn't care if all men killed themselves. She reminds me of Marina Purkiss, not engaging brain before opening mouth. Both from the @joe stable, as is Jobby.
Jobby's podcasts 'Full Disclosure' get a little plug in next week's Radio Times.

It's all good for business. Sick fucks, all of them. (well, a lot of them). :cautious:
