I make it my life's mission to avoid any of O'Briens's output However I couldn't resist a quick peek of his twitter last night to see how much he'd soiled himself over Fox' and GB News.

Man of the people on the bus home to his gated enclave. What a bleep.

James O'Brien on X: "It strikes me, on the late bus home, that younger viewers might struggle to describe a British ‘Conservatism’ that differs from the bile & bigotry broadcast by @afneil’s GBeebies brainchild. It’s surely very important that people start trying to do so asap." / X (twitter.com)
Even worse when Ava Santini left LBC I remember posters on here remarking that James O'Brien did not thank her.

Perhaps she (correctly) told him he is an awful misogynist.

If so Brian's pooper will be going at ten to the dozen at the moment...

There was a lot of speculation, admittedly on social media, that there had been a big falling out and she'd had to sign an NDA. If so, I look forward to the time limit running out!

This whole NDA thing. I just couldn't' see me ever signing one, I have a very obstinate nature and would rather cut off my nose to spite my face than take a lot of money to keep quiet. I'd just tell them to stick the NDA up their arses. What about you guize? Admittedly, I'm not exactly sure how NDA's work or why you would be required to sign one, presumably you can't be MADE to sign one?

Former LBC presenter Eddie Mair writes about the beginning of independent radio, and his first radio job.

BTW If Doris from Streatham did ring it wasn't put to air. (They were more concerned about the 6 day war in Israel). However, it was said that people enjoyed the test transmissions of light music on LBC's frequencies, that they were disappointed when it came on air as a talk station !

Andrew Castle has ‘no sympathy’ for suspended GB News presenters.

I remember tuning in on the first day. I managed a ten-minute earful of Janet Street-Porter and went straight back to Radio One. I didn't bother with LBC again until the late '80s.

Janet Street-Porter can do that to anyone....

No but it comes down to cash and £s especially if the offer for signing has plenty of them.

Andrew does make me laugh, he always goes out on the the strongest possible limb, like tree-trunk sized. Who DOES have sympathy for Fox and Wootton? I would suggest ZERO. Of course, one must remember Castle DID have a great deal of sympathy for another broadcaster who was ditched by his employer ... his money-embezzling good friend Boris Becker. :ROFLMAO:

Isn't it amazing how all of GB News competitors are quick to condemn, it's almost as if they see them as a threat! Despite constantly belittling them and calling the channel 'GBeebies'.

Fox's remark was crude and unpleasant, and Wootton should have shut him up instead of laughing, but I think Ms. Evans deserves to take some of the blame. Instead she is being martyred for being the 'victim' of a hurty remark, regardless that it was provoked by her dismissive, jokey attitude towards the increase in male suicide.

They all feed off each other Maggie, it's grim. I mean, so do we to a degree ... but we do it for free and don't really expect to influence or be taken seriously by many people, if anyone!!

Looking at this exchange I do think it's time I came off social media ... what an absolute cesspit.

As an employer keeping track of 'the talent' on social media must be a nightmare.

They are probably all best mates away from their day jobs and social media. It's all panto to them.

She's really stupid, isn't she? Completely clueless but thinks she's the bees knees

Yes. And Yes.

She's BEHIND YOU!!! OH NO SHE ISN'T!!!

No but any potential future employer would probably steer clear. Some things need to stay in house, even if it comes at a cost

So this Ava Santina was an ex producer of James O'Brien at some stage? Is she the one Guido was insinuating had signed an NDA? Having just watched the whole clip that started the Laurence Fox debacle, she's a piece of work herself. Very pleased with herself. I like Geoff Norcott very much. It's shame no one of any stature picked her up on it because everyone now is siding with her because Fox was so vile.

Here is the clip if anyone wants to watch it.

I'll take your word for it. Ugh ... what is wrong with these people, so desperate for attention and a need to sow seeds of division. Of course, I know the answer and it usually comes from unresolved childhood trauma. Just as shame we have to bleeping suffer these emotionally damaged ****'s.

So it's OK so long as they didn't nonce the kids on air?
Purkiss: "Erm...:
And not fancying you equates with paedophilia?I
