Random question about the podcast, they keep saying things are "clutch", is this just an American thing? I am their age and I have never heard this before
 
I’m rewatching on Netflix rn and I’m on the episode where Lauren and Lo don’t get invited to Christina’s 18th. Then they run into them at the nail place and Lauren’s like Christina I like your earrings, and Lo goes were they a birthday gift 😌? I love her ha!

I also forgot how excruciating Christina’s broadway audition truly was. Yikes
 
Alex H wanted to be called her middle name Alexandria when she arrived in Laguna for middle school I believe. She went by Alexandria Lauren.. now she goes by Lauren which is her real name. 🤣

She was on back to the beach podcast.
 
I'm getting towards the end of season 2 - why do Kristin and Taylor hate each other so much? Is it because of Talan? I may have missed it at the start of the season.

LC's behaviour makes me cringe so much. The way she acted around Jason at her party when they were flirting 🤮. She also comes across as quite boring with not much to say. Her and Jason's first date was basically just them staring at each other and occasionally saying how cute the other was.
 
Its so clear Jason had some major issues back then too, I wonder what MTV were doing about it? One scene he must have been completely off his face, where Jessica wakes him up at 3am from sleeping in the limo. He looks wrecked and has no shoes on etc. They must have been filming before and after that too.

I can't believe how different I feel about Lauren now. I know it's all cleverly edited and manipulated but she comes across like such a beg. It's so clear Stephen and Kristin were in love and she was just sort of shown as this hang on who was chasing him.
 
I’ve listened to a few of the podcast episodes including the one with Lauren and it gives so much more context. She joked herself that watching it back, it looks like she spent all her time sitting in corners creepily staring at them 😂. She said she was actually getting with Talan the whole time.

I obviously knew it was edited and manipulated but I didn’t realise to what extent - clips put together that were actually weeks or months apart, filming staged filler scenes after the producers decided what narrative they were gonna run with and recording lines that were edited in, so basically if you don’t see their mouth when they say something it was scripted and added in later.
 
Watched the podcast with Kristin, stephen and Jason. I'm glad Kristin ask about jessica... cause I was also was wanting to know the deal with them, cause it did seem like they were dating for a long time. when they really didn't :ROFLMAO:

I do think he came across really well, I really like Jason , he’s obviously been plagued with problems from a young age and he’s done so well to overcome them he seems like a great person
 
Completely agree, he speaks so well in that podcast and seems in such a good place. Literally a different person from the show!
Did Jessica do a podcast episode? I wish they'd asked Jason more about her!

Jessica hasn't been on yet but she is due to do a guest episode, can't wait to hear her side! Jason did come across like a great person and it explained so well why he was the way he was. I had no idea his issues started so young.
 
I saw on Kristin’s stories that they have recorded with Jessica. Am really liking this podcast! I actually skipped over season 1 of it altogether apart from Lauren’s episode because I just found season 2 of the show to be much better, but I’d say I might to back and listen to season 1 after this! Really like the dynamic between Kristin and Steven and it’s nice to see how she has matured and can reflect on herself in an honest way. Steven doesn’t let her away with some things though, he can go in on her at times and make salty remarks which she laughs off but at the heart of it I think she genuinely hurt him at the time. It’s hard to know whether or not he still holds a torch for her or thanks his lucky stars he got away 😆 He’s also a really good host, very articulate and well able to express himself and good at bridging topics.

I enjoy it too, their dynamic is great. I like that Kristen calls her younger self out 😅
 
I wonder what they’ll do after series 2? I don’t think they’ll do series 3 as they’re not in it and don’t know the ones who are in series 3 really!

i am another one where I love series 2 but not series 1 as much! I’ll miss it if they don’t continue it in some shape
