and when Jason cheated on her with Alexl, they ended up together and Jessica got with him again she was treated as if she was such a horrible person!
 
I loved Laguna Beach!! Agree with everyone saying their perspective changed watching it as an adult. LC was an embarrassing pick me, as well as having the personality of a wet mop. I can’t believe I pure loved her as a teenager. Lo was savage but also my fav. Apparently, they don’t talk anymore but I don’t know what went down?

Rich Girls was incredible viewing - I want my onion and my tomato IN the beef WITH the rice! Iconic.

Loved Lo she wanted no part in a lot of the BS that went down!
Lauren almost embarrassed me the way she went after Jason at her pool party. Total pick me. Never noticed it as a teen.

Jessica also had some low self esteem.

Lo always seemed the most authentic to me, even when I watched it back recently. Yeah Jessica had issues, God love her. There was an episode where she and Jason were having dinner and she just goes ‘would you be sad if I died? pure out the blue and he just looks at her like wtf 🤣

I just LOL'd at that! Poor Jessica.
Lo was definitely authentic she just did her own thing and spoke her mind. Also like Kristen's friend Alex a lot more as an adult than I did as a teen. She didn't really get into the drama either.
 
I started watching Whitney Port and Timmy’s watch-a-long but it wasn’t as good as their The Hills one. But I binged it all last night after it popped up on Netflix
Kristin was great in hindsight. At the time she was meant to be a villain, but she wasn’t.

Stephen’s ‘slut’ tirade was worse than I’d remembered.

LC is a massive pick-me whereas she was portrayed as sensible and the one you’re meant to root for.

Laughed at Jen casually snorting coke in the limo on the way to prom, as you do.
 
I’ve just rewatched series 1 and 2 of Laguna beach and now I’m listening to their podcast! I’m obsessed 🤣

Watching it as an adult I think it’s clear there’s no true love triangle and Steven is in love with Kristin, to me it’s clear as day. Lauren is SUCH a pick me girl, and Kristin is such a cool girl without trying.

I don’t understand the hold that Jason had on these girls? He was dreadful! He also never looked 17, he’s always looked 35.

Loved Lo, she was so bitchy too. Also liked Alex H watching as an adult, when I first watched it as a teen I didn’t really notice her!

I really like the podcast, I wonder if they will ever end up back together 🤣

I wondered if anyone was going to bring this up ! I was suprised it was kept in as is so obvious - Lo even looks directly at the camera and I wonder if she tries to detract the situation by calling Morgan a bleep! Funny thing is if she never said that the clip probably wouldn’t be used.

Never noticed it as a teen when watching as just thought Lo was being overly harsh.

I can’t believe just how drunk/high they all are in season 1 especially in Cabo!

I think in Season 2 they tried to cover it up a bit more as they talk more about drinking juice or frothy pink lemonade 🤣

Totally agree on Kristen and Ste-phaaaan’s podcast, it’s a million times better than Whitney’s rewatch of the hills, and they still have a nice chemistry. Defo can’t watch it in the same way now.

I never loved Lauren but I’m watching season 2 atm and she’s really not that interesting. And definitely don’t see the appeal of Jason 🤢 The boys either look over 30 or really young.

I think the biggest thing for me is knowing they couldn’t afford a lot of the stuff on the show and weren’t as rich as they looked. Eg MTV paid for the black and white affair hotel. In s2 one of them is buying Dior shoes and someone gets Kristen something from Tiffany’s. Not sure if I believe they paid for those now
 
Ok so this thread piqued my interest and I’ve been Googling where they are now and found Alex H on insta. Did anyone know that her name is actually Lauren? Why was she called Alex on the show 😂

Because I believe the producers thought there had been too many Lauren’s
